UBW Shirou is my favourite one.Fate Shirou is just way too much of an idiot for me to like and HF Shirou is a pretty interesting character but I've always thought the way he's written is just so OOC.

Give Royd a break. I've only read Heavens Feel, and have been meaning to read the Fate Route for a year and still haven't gotten around to it.

Let’s see Fate Shirou is a dumbass, Prisma is a bigger dumbass, Emiya is disqualified, MoS is just a mini-Kiritsugu, Kotomine is somoeone else, Mumei doesn’t count and Alter is too edgy despite a good backstory and weapons.

Leaving us only with UBW, HF and Miyuverse.
Out of all of them I prefer UBW because he is a good middle ground : he doesn’t just follow his dream without questionning it or throw it away.

UBW Shirou needed Archer shoving it in his face to accept there was something wrong. Fate Shirou got to watch the orphans in Kotomine's basement and figured out his problems on his own.

If anything, UBW Shirou is actually worse there.

A difference should be made between fans and fanboys, as is the case with all things.

Zero is my personal favorite entry in Fate but that doesn't mean I dismiss the others for being "immature" or haven't read FSN.

In truth, my favorite fate is the ubw route, and I don't think the other ones are "immature" or "inferior than Zero because they aren't as edgy as it". And I read the VN, including HA. I choose MoS shirou because I prefer edgy characters, but that doesn't mean I 'don't like anything aside that'.
I do think that Shiki's Nanaya personality is cooler because it don't have the FUCKING ANNOYING MORALISM, but that doesn't mean I hate his 'Tohno' personality, for example
