Yes - and unexpected, too.
It was one of several moments that I found livening up an honestly slow episode (though that may have been the comparatively late timeslot and all the freaking commercials). Which is not to say that I didn't enjoy it, or that I'm not sad he's gone . . . *shrugs* Maybe it's just that anything would've suffered compared to the awesomeness that is "Day of the Doctor."
Still, it was nice to see all the old plotlines wrapped up (it was such fun to see Clara speak his name) and our new one's appearance ended with such an appropriate speech.

Just watched it, it truly delivered as an end-all to the 11th Doctor. Boasts, rule-breaking and whimsical fun. My first on-air Doctor, so it did feel a little sad to see him go, thankfully, the end was more triumph than tragic. Liked how they brought back Amy as the Doctor's regeneration-based delusions or maybe it was old-age delusions.
The only sore point was that the Time Lords screwed the Doctor over for 600-ish years of his life (could have been an instance for them with how cracks in the universe works), then after Clara finally told them that he was in trouble, they all go "Whoops, sorry for all the trouble, we'll try again another time, here, have a new regeneration cycle as a compensation for all this trouble.".

It did wrap up the plotlines nicely, even if it was an offhanded way. Like the explanation of the memory priests, which I thought was a neat idea. The regeneration scene felt like a bit of a let down, since it happened so fast, no visible fluctuating between faces like the last few doctors have done. Just turn away quickly and BOOM new face.
When Clara got captured by the Dalak-people I assumed she'd be done for and transition into the character from 'Asylum of the Dalaks', so it was a surprise to see her make it through.
I did enjoy the episode though, felt like a nice wrap up to Matt Smith, defending the town for centuries even though he knows it will be the end of him. and managing to send Clara away twice in one episode.

True - but then again, that's been pretty much standard procedure for the Time Lords for all fifty years of the series' run, so we can't say it's inaccurate.

I started to rewatch "The Day of the Doctor" today. But I don't think that I'll find lots of new there now. Unlike a few years ago, when I watched one season having over +39 fever. When I rewatched it later, I noticed that I had missed lots of clever points with my fuzzy fever-brain.
I've re-watched it seven times - and it's still awesome.
Also, I found a fic that covers the potential plot hole between "The Name of the Doctor" and "The Time of the Doctor."

Me with KnK 1. Missed so much.I started to rewatch "The Day of the Doctor" today. But I don't think that I'll find lots of new there now. There's not really a plot hole since he did have the Timelords' help and he was always whining that he could change the future/go to alternate universes when the timelords were.
