I will admit as a kid I enjoyed Power Rangers in Space quite thoroughly. But it's all but forgotten in the face of Kamen Rider W and the like.

I like Power Rangers.
I'll admit too I grew up on Power Rangers but I stopped watching them after Wild Force to Ninja Storm. Don't even get me started on PR Samurai, I can stand their cheesiness though Saban is back and trying to re-do the stuffs they used to do back then...

So, I was a bit hyped because of the anniversary season coming up soon, and started browsing to check on the Kyoryuger finale, when I came across this...
So...next year's season will be the first to skip a Sentai and adapt Kyoryuger; we're back to dinosaurs again.

The most recent Power Rangers I've liked was Dino Thunder, but Megaforce was and is a bit "nope nope nope why".
Super Sentai is pretty grand - Shinkenger is yes.

Well, some sources say GB footage will be used in the series, but we don't know what for or how much yet. People are speculating separate team a la Alien Rangers or something like VR Troopers (multiple shows adapted into one, but focus on one of them).
At least it's not a hybrid series like Megaforce/Super Megaforce.

Double posting, but finally got around watching the Super Megaforce online premiere.
Gotta say, considering what I've heard about Megaforce itself, and compared to the Megaforce premiere, this episode was very good. A bit rushed here and there (mostly because it mixed two Gokai episodes), but it was still very enjoyable.
Hmm, how are they dealing with the whole, There are like 15 Sentai that we never showed to America that are going to be shown here, thing?

Well, for the Legend War, they made US footage that will exclude the pre-Zyu teams (and add GokaiSilver), plus the Gokai footage was edited to cut them out.
As for the Gokai Changes, based on the differences in this episode vs. Gokaiger (Overdrive Red instead of GoseiRed during the all-Red morph), I'm pretty sure they'll make similar edits in the future.

Because most of the character lessons which give 'Ultimate Powers' are from Sentai seasons that have Power Ranger equivalents from my memory. Magiranger/Mystic Force, Dekaranger/SPD, Gaoranger/Wild Force, Shinkenger/Samurai, Hurricanger/Ninja Storm, and one of the car ones. Oh and Dino Thunder/I don't remember the Japanese name.

Yeah, it's only 20 episodes long.
Not all of the episodes are getting PR equivalents. Some summaries of the first 15 got leaked online some time ago, and it confirms some tribute episodes (like Wild Force, Jungle Fury, RPM and Samurai). Some tribute episodes don't seem to be adapted as tributes in PR, like the Dekaranger and Carranger episodes apparently, and the rest are adapted from other non-tribute Gokai episodes.
I laughed when they previewed the all-red transform because they had to make new footage so that one wasn't "de-powering" into Megaforce Red since in Gokaiger they had Hakase switch to Goseiger there.
Localizationing stuff
I like watching Hikonin Sentai Akibaranger even tho I haven't even watched any Sentai show in my life.
In answer to your questions - I went through Power Rangers up to Dino Thunder, uninterrupted (though I prefer to forget that Ninja Storm even exists), and I've caught episodes of every series since.
And as for my list . . .
Top 5 Rangers:
1) Tommy Oliver (forever and for always, the best of the best)
2) Merrick
3) Katherine Hilliard (tall, blonde hair, blue eyes, and a soft Australian accent - what's not to like?)
4) Trini Kwan (the late and lamented Thuy Trang)
5) Tie: Cassie Chan and the Phantom Ranger, mostly because they're good together.
Top 5 Villains:
1) Lord Zedd (the guy had style)
2) Dark Spectre
3) Ivan Ooze
4) Zen-Aku
5) Tie: Astronema and Scorpina
