Well, I've been dead for a long time. Here's an experiment.

You have to sacrifice the blood of children, luckily I had some on hand

mostly her hair. Do you use a trick like the keep opaque layer or something?

No, I had to make another gradient layer for the hair and set it to color dodge. I also needed to draw a few strokes at the edge of the hair to make the transition smoother. It's less of a trick and more of me using the same technique I used for other pictures, but setting the color value to something similar with the background lighting.

Hands could use a little work but that looks amazing otherwise.

Nope. That's not a better question. Most of your other pictures are landscapes, so that would just be weird.
