Yes, but certain western fantasy, such as Lord of the Rings, states that all orcs are evil, but certain others (IMO better ones), such as the Elder Scrolls, states that it is ridiculous to condemn any single race as good or evil.

Read Tolkien's letters, he admitted Orcs are not pure evil and even pointed out that apart of Elves who sided with Free People, in previous war against Sauron (that one with Isildur) every race had representatives fighting for both sides. While many Orcs are not nice people, there is always a room for redemption for them in Tolkien's worldview.

^Nah, Orcs survived Morgoth getting exiled into abyss, the guy who twisted their ancestors into Orcs (they are all elves ultimately, they were not created). Sauron's demise only affects Wraiths of the Ring.
