Also, anyone who is designing battleships, battleship weaponry on the EAU side is codenamed after European mythology (e.g Siegfried, Avalon, etc), while the ships use Royal Navy naming scheme (e.g Illustrious, Ark Royal, etc).
Alliance uses Chinese developed battleship weaponry and battleships are named after notable locations in Alliance territory.
In addition, any perks you make for your characters cannot directly effect the equipment of your Rubicons (e.g you can't get shields or whatnot for your Rubicon with character perks).

About that... a couple of more points I have.
Firstly, crack. The large part of the fun will be the overtly dramatic and overblown character relationships and revelations. And well... characters that are incredibly silly kinda deflates a lot of that. So while I am willing to give some leeway, please stray away from making full blown nonsensical characters (its not really super robot with its GATTAI antics).
Secondly, I have seen quite a large over-saturation of... well mechanic wunderkids from the sheets I have so far. So if you are making your sheet right now, you might want to keep that in mind if you are making your character atm.
Thirdly, I will be posting images of the Rubicons (one Alliance, one EAU) every day. Some of you might have seen them already, some of you haven't, but the first two should be posted in the op shortly.
I'm perfectly willing to change mine up but as soon as I saw drones I went "Oh fuck yes GO MY MINIONS" and all ideas of making the Sniper from TF2 in Giant Robot Form dropped out of my mind.

You have 17 points to distribute between your stats.
You are free to deck out your ship relatively freely when it comes to equipment, just try not to overblow it. The weaponry on these ships is about equivalent to a Cruiser (so Archangel/Minerva/White Base tier). Include any replacement or standard craft that you have (standard mobile suits, fighters, etc) in addition to the Rubicons and maybe give me an outline of any unique features that your ship has (say if you want to have something that is traditionally not on battleships or relatively experimental/non standard guns), but try to keep these to... let say around 3 max?
And then you can cap it off with a Unique Attribute/Ability. And a picture of the ship of course.

Well there's no neutral people but then if I want to do any fighting and you let me in I wouldn't be neutral.
It is decided by sheet merit, so you can still compete for slots with the other people trying to get in. I think Alliance has the less people going for it atm.
