What it really means is down to individual interpretation although I'm not too familiar with ikuhara's stance on this.

Anyway you don't have to like Utena but I think it can be agreed that a bit more work was put into it than into YKA.
[20:47:33] I3uster: in 2015 a crack memer was sent to skype prison by a court of his Peers for a crime he didnt commit. he promptly escaped from his Maximum security Forum into the twitter Underground. Today, still wanted by the skype Group he survives as memer of fortune. If you Need a shitpost, if nobody else can fuck up a thread, and if you can find him, maybe you can hire: June.

Main problem I had with utena is that it felt very repetitive a lot of the time and some of the episodes felt really inconsequential and boring.

Honestly I haven't thought about it too deeply just that I felt like everything in the show was well conveyed. I understood the child broiler being some sort of fucked up metaphor of the homogenization of children at a young age while on the other hand I didn't understand why akio drives his sexy car apart from the fact akio is sexy and so is his car.
I don't think I've actively watched and enjoyed an anime since 2014.

Oh wait there was... uh... I forget.
Whichever one had Joan of Arc as some warrior sent by Michael to find some key, or something.

Rage of Bahamut: Genesis
... got it.
no Utena fan be I but it's a damn sight better than Penguindrum
Hyouka is nice.
And that said, I found Index's starting episodes to be pretty alright.
Beyond that, Assclass had a great adaptation.

Code Geass was, on rewatch, pretty acceptable for its Knightmare battles.
I will still hold that geass is good even for it's plethora of flaws. I don't really care enough about it anymore to defend it though.
Index was good, but the second season ended up a little on the repetitive side for my taste. Basically harem shenanigans, Touma runs into a new cute girl, said girl is being antagonized by some villain, bunch of philosophical and religious mumbo-jumbo, Touma punches villain in the face and completely shatters their worldview, more harem shenanigans, rinse and repeat. Apparently the World War III arc is where the series really kicks into high gear, but unfortunately the anime never adapted that far.
Code Geass was freaking great. That confrontation with Charles in R2 has got to be one of the best 'hero versus villain' exchanges I've seen in anime (along with Simon versus the Anti-Spiral King in TTGA).

Mahoyo is giving me vertigo.
You call this urban planning? This?

But on the other hand it gives me such a lovely understanding of Tsukihime's setting that I can feel happy as well.
When mahoyo is eventually translated and I do get to read all of it- I'm going to be so fucking happy. For now though it's at the back of my mind which just means I'm going to be even more hype once I do get to read it.
lol Chuck vs Lelouch was fucking terrible, it's only not the worst episode of the series because it comes 2 episodes after the mutiny
I wish I could say you are waist deep in the worst part of the show, Rodyle, but you still have plenty deeper to sink into the quagmire.
Spoiler:
