I've been listening to Radwimps for like the last week.

Just blitzed through the second season of "Gundam: Iron Blooded Orphans". Man, I just feel so emotionally drained right now, but damn if it wasn't good.

Ending Spoilers

I was expecting most of the characters to die, but damn if it didn't hurt each time they did. Hush was the only person I was surprised to see die as I thought he was going to become Mikazuki's successor or at least look after everything that Mika left behind. But no, Hush died protecting the evacuation route for the non-combatants of Tekkadan.

Although they didn't get to see it, Orga's, Mika's and everyone's deaths weren't in vain as it caused a massive ripple in the world order and changed things. The Seven Stars disbanded and now a democratic system is in place (Fareed's dream). While Child Soldiers have been outlawed and all the children are slowly being taking in and given a chance at a new life (Tekkadan's dream).

Plus that poetic justice of Ride using Orga's pistol to kill Nobliss for having Orga assassinated. :3

Although there definitely won't be a Season 3 of IBO, I actually wouldn't mind a new series set in the "Post-Disaster" timeline. They only used like 9-10 Gundams out of 72 produced in IBO, so they still have room to play around with some more if they so choose.

Rustal sucks, but so does Fareed. And Man in the Iron Mask. Hell every Seven Stars character sucks, except Carta who gets backstabbed by her best friend before she can do anything, and Julieta who has no agency of her own and might as well be a robot.

"Mobile Suit Gundam: Thunderbolt" Volume 4 obtained and read!

Volume 4 Spoilers

So this Volume starts off with the end of the OYW and the assault on A Boa Qu. Not much to say here since none of the main characters are involved in the war, though I did appreciate the explanation of how the Earth Federation got its hands on the Psycommu system. All the chaos allowed Io Fleming to escape from his cell and free the other Federation POWs. The only big twist during the war was at the climax we see Sexton is saved by some Space Monks who also have Claudia captive. Wasn't surprised that she was alive really. Then we get into the real meat of the Volume - the focus of the new arc that is set post-war in 0080. It seems the Namyang Monks are trying to revive the Psycho Zaku for whatever reason and both Daryl in his aquatic Acguy and Io in his new Gundam Atlas are both on the trail unawares of each other.

A pretty good Volume all said. That tease of the Atlas at the end got me hyped for the next Volume...only 102 days until it releases. T_T

I finished the first season of My Hero Academia. It's a very good show that made me feel so many things. Episode 12 is easily my favorite episode, it had so many memorable moments that shocked and excited me and the fight scene at the end was so amazing I had to watch it again right after seeing it the first time. I'll start watching season 2 as soon as possible.

Yet another Gundam series down, this time it's "Gundam: Build Fighters Try" and it's OVA "Island Wars". Hmm...it wasn't as bad as I heard people made it out to be, but I can definitely see why people had problems with it and I myself preferred the original a lot more.

Oh, the manga actually has that stuff with Claudia? That probably makes much more sense than Season 2, but probably the reveal wouldn't have the same impact.

Hmm...I have yet to watch Season 2 of Thunderbolt but I've heard mixed things about. I'm already hesitant to get excited because of my complaints about how Season 1 handled it's adaptation.

The biggest compliant I have about it is that it's incomplete. It feels like Act 1 of 3, rather than a self contained story, like S1 was.

My Hero Academia Season 2 Episode 10: Todoroki's father is such a dick, how does someone like that become the second best hero? I'm just happy that Midoriya managed to get through to him in the end and have such a amazing fight too.
