I will reiterate though, dialogue and sound direction was better in original, but new series is p high quality production wise

I like the silent atmosphere which relies more on dialogue rather then music (if you want a modern movie like this look at dunkirk). Which is not something I usually like as dialogue is usually awful. But I liked the discussion between chars and I just find the use of music in the new series to be worse! That's it!

Wait, are you guys watching the original series or the new one? It hasn't been that long since I watched the original but I don't remember cannibal stuff.
Edit: Just googled some summaries, I get why I don't remember the cannibal stuff. When I read Five's post, thought it was something explicitly shown while it was happening, and not just the aftermath.
Might watch it again anyway before picking up the new series.
