Yugioh Vrains Episode 69: Varis vs Windy. Varis really likes using classic cards, like Mirror Force and now Magic Cylinder. He has only 300 Life Points left, and Windy hasn't taken a single point of damage. I'd like to see how can he get out of this if he can.


I watched My Hero Academia The Movie: Two Heroes for the first time a few days ago.

A movie made by Studio Bones, the studio that made Fullmetal Alchemist, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Soul Eater, and Darker than Black. Just the first 5 minutes were amazing and I could just watch them over and over again. I don't know what I would do to see All-Might in his heyday, just seeing him at his best with his friend.


I wish I could have seen this theaters, the trailer made the fans look so happy. Like I didn't know he had different costumes and like different eras to his work as a hero. I noticed in the pictures at David's office you can see them together at his wedding that All Might looks exactly how he did when they started working together. And when he's holding Melissa as a little girl, he looks how he does now... So that means the big fight with All For One happens like maybe in a few years after that.


All of the Class 1-A students that were at the party had their big moments, but it was nice to see Bakugo and Todoroki again, they were amazing against those villains that fought against. I like Melissa too, I hope to somehow see her again in the future. I'm happy that Midoriya got a chance to fight alongside his his idol, for the first time, and sadly probably the last time. It was an amazing battle though, when You Say Run just started to play I was so happy. I love that song, but I haven't heard in the anime for a while. I didn't expect the big twist at the end, I did not see that coming at all.


I wish I got to see the scenes in the end credits happen after the big fight. So I guess, that this is a anime movie that I think could have more time for more scenes.

It was an amazing movie, I hope I can see the second one in theaters.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Episode 16: When that monster killed those people she had under her control, Inosuke could just feel the anger from Tanjiro. I can't believe he changed the move he used to kill them just because they gave up. Not after what they did. She said that there was a member of the 12 Kizuki on the mountain. That one demon was causing enough trouble already and one of them are there too.

I watched the Special 7 OVA yesterday. It was about when Nijo first joined Special 7 a year before the anime. It was cool seeing things like how old everyone was and to see how certain things led up to what happened in the anime. We never did really find out that much about Ichinose's personal life now that I think about it. What a shame.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Episode 17:So Hashira is the highest rank of Demon Slayer, that's good to know. I can't believe Zenitsu got struck by lightning and got his hair color changed because of it, that's crazy. Even if he does only know the one stance, he's still pretty strong. I like his style of fighting more Tanjiro's, the lightning and the speed he has is so cool. It's too bad he can only do it when he's asleep though.

Sakura wars ep19: great job madhouse. Thats a sakuga ep right there. A little awkward saying such things when just yesterday i witnessed the insane spectacle of FGO ep18, but gotta give credit where credits due. Direction was slick, chara acting was rich and mecha action really satisfying.

Yugioh Vrains Episode 70:And so Varis was the first one to Synchro Summon in Yugioh Vrains and Playmaker was the first one to Ritual and Fusion Summon I like the contrast. Each Ignis has a human counterpart that they were created from during the Lost Incident, but Windy caused his human counterpart to get into a car accident by messing with the AI. His reason for it was because he didn't think he needed a human partner of all things. And then it turns out that Bohman is working with Lightning and Windy, and that they have Jin's soul too, since he's Lightning counterpart. Now I wonder what Playmaker and Soulburner will do next.

Finished Sakura Wars (TV). The last 5 eps were a riot, both happening wise and production wise. Fuck yeah maximum overchad Ohgami driving up the wall of a demonic edo castle with a motorcycle!

So this is an anime original retelling of the happenings of 1st game, some things removed, some things added, and some things told differently. Honestly i think the anime tells the story a lot more competently and with more finesse than the game, and the mecha action is so much better because of the cool animated mecha action >>> obnoxiously clunky dated gameplay. Bit I think the game does a lot better job of endearing the cast to you. Some characters also were left a little unexplored in the anime compared to game.

the anime goes for a much more serious and dark atmosphere than the high cholesterol cheese that is the game, i liked it but i wished for a little bit more of that lovable cheese too. Like there wasnt even a single ”shouri no pose... Kime!!!”, i kept waiting and thinking maybe theyll do it at the very end but nope. Oh well. But its not like the cheese is completely gone.

a ballsy move was to remove all harem and romance aspects and just focus on camradiere and an ensemble cast of sorts. It reminds me of the idolmaster anime in a sense, as ohgami got demoted from POV chara to a pretty AkabaneP esque support role. They also rewrote some parts of game 1 to go more with later retcons from game 2., such as a villains identity, some characters relationships and the presence of a certain chara

the production values were slick! Good job madhouse, oh man this anime felt good to watch. The direction in certain eps was so sick, the usage of darkness of night in some of the action sequences was stunning. Also just in general atmospheric lighting in dark places or twilight was so pretty. The way the monsters flinched when shot, spurted goo when cut, so satisfying.

Quality wise when comparing the game to the anime i think standalone the game is a little better, because it focuses on charas and goofy which is the strength of the franchise. HOWEVER I think watching the anime with knowledge and love of the charas gained from playing the game might just be the best way to experience Sakura Wars 1. Excellent anime adaption in my opinion. Who said video games cant have good adaptions?

I wrote a somewhat lengthy review on GitS: Innocence but the internet ate it and I'm on the phone so screw it, cliff notes: Pretentious 2deep dialogue full of dead people quotes, even more scenery porn, not that bad CGI, Uncanny Valley, more coherent plot, actually liked it better than the 1st one (perhaps had lower expectations). Recommend.

So, I just finished watching the RahXephon movie after finishing up the show itself.
What I'm about to say may contradict God's teachings
Rahxephon + movie >Eva + End of Eva. Don't get me wrong, I still think Eva is great. But for me, RahXephon is better. I know this is basically blasphemy, but it's how I feel. You can send your hitmen after me now. I've said what I had to and I don't regret it

I'm not sure if you've ever watched Overfiend in its entirety (being an older hentai, I'm sure that you've at least watched some of it), but I have a few comments. Let's start with the loli. First of all, at the final chapter/movie, Himi turns out to be the reincarnation of Akemi, which is fine, but what's not fine is after this plot reveal, she somehow takes on her previous life's form. Not bad, just average. Her Himi form is so much better. Up to the point where the entire Inferno Road movie cover is literally just her. Men of culture made that cover. Secondly, let's talk Nazis. I find it interesting that design-wise, Münchhausen II is the opposite of the LDO of Dies Irae. The LDO wear their Hugo Boss uniforms but without the swastika. Meanwhile, Münchhausen II wears sorcerer robes, but his promotional art has a swastika background. Ironically, the US release has him with a hexagram, which obviously and ironically also looks like the Star of David.

Finally, let's talk manga and anime differences. The manga just has Amano be a half-demon, whereas the anime gave him and several of the "good demons" a new race: beast-men. This was probably to cement, as much as possible, demons as the villains. Yes, I posted the exact same thing, just with the NSFW links in the hentai thread.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Episode 18: Even though that demon was killed, Zenitsu is still suffering the effects of the poison, but why? Inosuke had such a hard time with the father demon, but Giyu just appears and cuts it to pieces instantly. So that's the power of a Hashira, the top ranked Demon Slayers, he made it look so easy to beat. He used the same water breathing technique that Tanjiro uses, so I guess they had the same teacher then. I also wonder what that girl can do too. And then Tanjiro just got his sword broken at the end by the eldest brother. This is way worse than I thought it would be, I didn't think they would have such a hard time. What's he's going to do?

I think the next episode is supposed the be one everyone was talking about before, so I'm excited for it.

Watched the 2001 Sakura Wars movie by production IG. The 2D character animation was absolutely and utterly gorgeous. Absolute treat. The TV anime rocked but this blew it out of the water. But then like 15 min into the movie... they sortied to fight monsters... and the 2001 CG... bruh... i almost cried. Oh no. Ohnononononononono. the stiff monster movements. The ugly CG smoke explosions. The goofy way the mechas kept puonding these stiff plastic toys. In the TV anime the creepy zombie like movements of the monsters, the way the flinched when shot, the way the were torn to shreds and splurted goo when cut was so satisfying but now theyre stiffly falling over. The mechas didnt look that bad because Sakura wars mechas are ugly-cute and weak looking steam powered trashcans, but damn the monsters were terrible. But then in the late movie climactic battle scene they were fighting mechanical enemies so the CG didnt pop out too bad and the high speed action and brilliant choreography overshadowed it. And the explosions that were CG earlier were now 2D. Wtf. Great stuff. All in all really good cash-in movie, if you forget that one awful battle scene at the start of the movie, dunno what kinda intern came up with that shit. But i will have to say that even though IG had even better 2D animation, i prefer Madhouse's more old school take on the chara designs. thats just my boomer taste speaking though.

and of course Ohgami had to fly in to have a big hero "sorry I kept you waiting" chad moment despite being stationed in freakin France.

Saw the new Hero Aca movie Rising on the big screen tonight. Starts off alright but damn does it lean hard into "This is filler" for the ending. The new movie exclusive characters aren't anything to write home about, especially compared to the last one. The villain is way more impressive and threatening than the last, but really derivative too.

So the McGuffin new character is a healer, so there's less urgency for characters to avoid long term damage for the run up to the boss, where last movie just gave Deku a few free uses of his power so he had to ration it out and be smart. Also is a little kid so they can't even pretend to contribute during action. The villain is literally just knock off All For One, even stealing quirks to take down society. And the ending, Holy Shit, they give Bakugo One for All so he and Deku can double team 100%. Looks amazing but the minute you see it happen you know they're going to roll it back and pretend it never occurred. So after all is said and done, they don't even beat the villain so much as Shoryuken his giant lightening tornado, One For All itself holds off on transferring all the way and wipes Bakugo's memory of the whole thing.

All said and done, the first movie felt better in it's new characters, for not needing a deus ex machina to resolve plot holes with the ending, and just being Die Hard with superheroes. The only upside is that unlike the last movie, every member of the cast has a moment to shine, except Invisigirl who just stands around when she could have snuck up on 3/4 of the villain squad during a fight and beaned them with a rock. All I want is one Ghost in the Shell fight with her, is that so much to ask?

Obviously not, because Hagakure using the full extent of her powers in the movie would ruin the reveal when she ends up being the mole.

Can't wait for the reveal that she's been in every one of the League of Villans group shots. Just a coffee cup always a few inches off a table.
