Tsukihime the manga
I started another run at Hunter x Hunter.I'm struck by how much this opening arc draaaaags.
I know the early going tends to be slow because the author needs to introduce the world and the lead characters, but this entire Hunter Exams schtick feels like a filler arc with the way these little games fill up episodes and episodes worth of content without going anywhere.
"This is just a test to see if you are worthy of even being allowed to take the Exam!"
Get the fuck out of here with that noise. Stop with the JRPG side quests and do something.
Spoiler:
Started watching Strike The Blood recently. Pretty standard LN fair with the usual array of silly tropes and broad character archetypes (the nice guy protag, the tsundere girl who's strong enough to look cool but weak enough to always need to be saved by the protag, etc), but I've been having a lot of fun with it so far.
At the very least, any series with a dude walking around calling himself "the combat deacon of Lotharingia" is self-aware enough about its cheesiness to earn my admiration.
Resumed watching the Koe no Katachi film after having dropped it off before.
I really don't like Kyoani's insistence on putting filters everywhere and the shaky cameras movements. Watching everything in animation and voiced is more heart-clenching than I thought.

Binged watched "Atom: The Beginning".
It was very good, felt like what would happen if in Steins;Gate, Okarin built a robot that gained a soul instead of a microwave that causes time travel.
But it suffered the curse of all 12 episode animes these days in that it had the typical "And The Adventure Continues...GO READ THE MANGA!!!" sorta ending. Welp, guess I know what I need to do now...
"Here's a bangin lil' tune about takin' on The Man!"

Re-watched / Re-read School Rumble. Ten years since it ended and it's still one of my favorite romantic comedies.
Harima x Eri best pairing.
Since there is no active(?) Tokusatsu thread, I started to watch Kamen Rider again.
Never finished Faiz and Blade, so I'll give them a shot.
The nostalgia struck me some months back and I went on a mindless search through 4chan in half-hearted hopes of finding word about it. A story about their adult lives isn't zero but I wouldn't raise any hopes.
First Chapter
Second Chapter
Third Chapter
I'm just happy knowing that the cast is living strong.

The VN never managed that, so I won't blame the anime if it can't make people care for Kagari. Because her being fucking pointless is not an unpopular opinion even among VN readers.

She's missed all those opportunities already and only has her role as a plot device left to wrap up.
