What are you reading/watching? AKA Anime/Manga General

Started reading Doubt! because it seems to be ending/ended recently. And it kinda interested me.


Thread is for those random series that ended months ago that people randomly make threads for. Make new threads for newer stuff like anime coming out this season anf whatnot but not for say, uhh Level E or something which ended years ago as an anime, and a decade ago as a manga.

Also for scenarios where you are too lazy to find a good image for to use in the post awesome/hilarious images and just wanna say you are liking something.

I'm reading Sket Dance. Despite the fact that it and its anime have end, scanlations are still not caught up to the raws.

Now that the Sket-dan have managed to mess with time, how well the hot summer day be resolved?

Started reading Doubt!

my friend told me to read Doubt! but i sadly have never actually picked up any of his recommendations to me, i should check it out
also manga that i am reading are Koe no Katachi, Tokyo Ghoul, Brynhildr in Darkness, and Akamge ga Kiru.

Currently reading Nobunaga no Chef. It's a pretty awesome cooking/historical manga with the classic plot of a modern-day guy/chef named Ken thrown back in time during the Warring States period of Japan, but unfortunately he looses all memory except how to cook and history. Hell, he only knows his name because a guy who had been thrown back with him called it out before getting killed. Eventually, he is able to become the head chef of Oda Nobunaga and the plot revolves around his cooking and his involvement during this time.

It's a pretty good manga. It's not some romantic harem comedy (Though a couple of girls do show interest in Ken, though he only feels slightly the same way towards one who is a blacksmith and thus cannot have sex with him), and mostly the war pieces are played very seriously. Nobunaga himself is neither good nor evil in here. Although the manga does show his positive traits, it also shows that he was a pretty ruthless military commander who can and will kill people if given a sufficient reason (They tried to poison him & his troops, matter of pride, men questioning his decisions and forgetting their place in his army).

And it being a cooking manga, there is food porn. But it's not sexualized food porn like Shokugeki no Soma's. It's just shown to be really good food, and shows that modern-day cooking can get you far in the past. One can also tell the author did do his homework on the era, as he lists his sources at the end of chapters.

It has some pretty neet psychology demonstrations (though some are kinda obvious with some you prolly even know).

Bright World Project? That's the one with the 2D Otaku Daichi Harusame, his harem of a yandere, a tsundere and an unlucky girl alongside other characters where people had to make couples or die, right? There was a guy in a sun and moon mask running the show.

Reading the Oda Nobuna LN's, after being disappointed by Nobunaga the Fool. Also I'm trying to watch JoJo, but just can't seem to get into it.

I'm glad we already have this foolproof system in place to distinguish robots from real people, it does a lot to relieve the existential angst about the future I had programmed into me by sci-fi movies. Even if the machines rebel, they will never be able to infiltrate.

How can you not enjoy it? It's manly and fabulous in every way!

Also, Steel Ball Run is best part in my opinion.

Watching Akagi because I really enjoyed Kaiji, although I'm going to have to refamiliarize myself with the rules of Mahjong since I don't understand what the fucks happening half the time on screen.
