What are you reading/watching? AKA Anime/Manga General

So I read the Goblin Slayer manga, the fanservice/gore/porn stuff is quite cringy but sorta enjoyable as a dirty pleasure kind of thing.

I like the MC because he reminds me of some of my own pen and paper PCs, with the practical thinking.

Also holy shit they went overboard with the harem thing (cleric girl best girl). Fortunately, the MC has singularity-level thickness, so there's no way those feelings are coming through just yet.

But so, so much fanservice. Like the Lancer/Guts cameos. Also I'm pretty sure I've seen that busty witch before, and that female paladin.

Reading the side stories now, some nasty gorn there with the side characters.

I finished Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal yesterday and started Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V. The duels toward the end were okay I guess. Pendulum Cards and Pendulum Summoning sure are something.

Pendulum sounds cool until you play an actual match semi-competitively.

Witch was from Dragon's Crown. Not sure where Paladin might be from, but it wouldn't surprise me to find out her design already existed somewhere. It's part of the worldbuilding atmosphere,along with the occupation-describing names and the apparent class system- the whole world resembles a generic fantasy RPG because it IS a fantasy RPG to the Gods.

Reading "Perfect Blue: Complete Metamorphosis" the novel that the iconic Satoshi Kon film is based on. The plot is great but my god the translation is questionable - seeing "Ojou chan" four times untranslated on the page makes me want to go out and shank whoever localised this.

Was reading Hunter x Hunter until Hiatus x Hiatus struck again after Chapter 390...Also, Togashi is really going whole hog in referencing JoJo Part V. There were references to SP's catching a bullet aimed at Jotaro, King Crimson, and Gold Experience. That, and the Nen Beasts are basically Stands.

I finished re-watching the first season Seraph of the End. Looking back, there are things and implications that I missed. I'm going to start re-reading the manga again and the second season tonight. I'm also going to be reading the novel too.

Ah, don't worry about it. I remember the really well put together English trailer for REDLINE more so than the actual film which had the quote I referenced, so when you brought up that you had seen the film I couldn't resist referencing that trailer which had impacted me so.

REDLINE is a really good film though, I should re-watch it again someday~
