The Promised Neverland Episode 11:Spoiler:
I finished The Promised Neverland. It was a pretty good anime that I'd recommend if you like suspense and mystery. It's definitely not something that I would have expected to be in Shonen Jump.
Spoiler:
Got through Shonan Junai Gumi, the prequel to the GTO!, show about Danma Ryuuji and Onizuka Eikichi during their high-school time as delinquents, trying to get laid, getting in troubles and kicking asses.
I really liked the first 3 OVAs, 4th was so-so (the last part was confusing, there was something lost in transition between parking lot -> Onizuka racing the other guy), then 5th one was almost same as GTO ep. 25 (which was a filler) and feels unfinished.
Imo, it was quite good overall, and since it's quite limited compared to the source material, the manga should be more interesting. Just like GTO! I suppose.

Yugioh Vrains Episode 39: The terrifying card that Revolver/Varis used was Mirror Force. The original Mirror Force trap, wow. Gotta love the classics. It's pretty strong against Link Monsters since they can't go into Defense Mode. He forced Go/The Gore to use all of his resources to summon all those Link Monsters and he just wiped all of them out. Varis didn't need to use a super situational card, he made the perfect situation to use a staple card like Mirror Force.

Spoiler:
I took another crack at the 2011 Hunter x Hunter series now that it's on Netflix, and I have had time to kill over the last few days.
So when does it get good? All I hear about is the brilliant subversion of shounen conventions and the Chimera Ant arc. I haven't seen either one of those so far. I am spectacularly underwhelmed.
Spoiler:
The good parts are before the Chimera Ant arc, which was the most drawn out thing I've ever had the misery of reading.
The manga art dying in the nearest hole along with Togashi's back certainly didn't help matters, and by the time it ended, instead of feeling sympathy for the villain like I was meant to I was just glad he was finally dead.
The Walking Dead comic series is now over at Issue #193. When I saw it was 80+ pages I knew it wasn't a normal issue so its page count gave it away.
Author went through his closing thoughts and while I might've liked the bleak ending he was originally going for, I like this ending a lot better.
In other news, Rokudou no Onna-tachi is my current go-to manga. It's great. A breath of fresh air.
Attack on Titan is wrapping up. It might be done by the end of this year / beginning of the next. So... there's that.
Everything is ending so soon, it feels like. Except Berserk.
Yorkshin city is peak HxH. Chimera ants is awesome but requires ridiculous patience.

The Devil May Cry anime is surprisingly bland considering Dante is already an anime character in the games. It also misses some golden opportunities to bridge the gap between them and / or solve some inconsistencies.
Also, there's not even a mention of Lucia, Bolverk or Argosax. Lame.
^ The anime is set before DMC2 occurs iirc.

^ That timeline is from before 5 came out, where they arbitrarily changed it so that DMC2 now happens before DMC4. :/

Oh, ok. That's one less complaint from me, then.
That said, I'd be sad if at least Lucia never showed up again in a DMC work.

It's summer, so time for Mahou Tsukai ni Taisetsu Koto, which is set during summer time. In a world, where being a mage is a job, there is Bureau of Magic, rules and regulations of using magic, permissions to use magic, mages have their office where they take request from ppl (
Trainee, Kikuchi Yume, comes to Tokyo in order to become certificated mage, and her teacher isArcherOyamada Masami. At a first glance, I thought that it feels like Aria series, but it's not as good.
Voice acting in some parts feels poor (detached), the animation sometimes lazy (charas barely moving lips while talking, like I'm looking at the still image)
The plot is, well it's like Aria, so SOL/drama (hardships, doubts, etc of being a mage); the ost of this anime is quite good (i like piano pieces, ok)
Not that bad, could've been better, overall enjoyable.
edit: speaking of ost
