    Watched Sword of the Stranger.

Very slick movie, great action and aesthetic. The giant bloody shrine was a great setpiece. Aside from the limited soundtrack, I have no complaints. It's a simple movie overall, but the good kind of simple, like well-made brownies.

I'm going to finish watching the Seraph of the End from where I last left off, then I'm going to rematch it. And after that, I'll start reading the manga again.

I'm thinking about going back and finishing up Shaman King, since I never bothered after it got resurrected. The manga is probably the better option, but there's a part of me that wants to watch the old dub from my childhood for the nostalgia factor. It's been a while, just how much worse is the anime compared to the manga?

I know it's heresy as a JoJo fan to suggest this, but consider checking out part 3 or part 4 and seeing if it's more your style (if you don't care about spoilers for previous parts). I couldn't get into JoJo until Stands were a thing, and I couldn't fully get into it until chewing on a beautiful Duwang. Everything from the man with steak for hair and the man with donuts for hair onwards is much better realized in anime form than the first three parts, which had some great moments but suffered from rather bland neutral coloring (and not as well implemented color shifts) that didn't complement the bizarre nature as well as 4 and 5 have in animation.

Personally, the anime rekindled my interest in PB after first reading the really roughly drawn manga part, though I wasn't introduced through the cleanest scan around. Now I'm rereading with a cleaner scan, and PB suddenly seems much better drawn.

I missed Hamon come part 3 and was very disappointed it became completely useless with the advent of Stands.

Wow, that's a while ago. PB was rough at the start. It probably didn't help that he started with the first episode of SC when it aired and spent the while episode explaining things to me, so much that I missed a bunch of what was happening.

    Same here.

Picked up Komi-san wa Komyushu Desu, and I'm getting weirdly consistent Medaka Box vibes, only lacking the supernatural aspects. I actually had to check to make sure it wasn't Nisio writing again, the pun game was on point.

I finished Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal yesterday and started Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V. The duels toward the end were okay I guess. Pendulum Cards and Pendulum Summoning sure are something.
