Been binge-watching Musaigen No Phantom World lately. It's scary how much I'm relating to Haruhiko, as someone with artistic interests and a tendency to spout random myth and philosophy trivia.

Wow the new season of Tokyo Ghoul has a terrible OP. I get that they're trying to show a huge amount of discord in the characters, but they have like three different songs going on at the same time, all clashing with each other horribly.

iunno, after a while it became pretty catchy for me, i like the song. the visuals do suck though after the first few seconds, not a whole lot of interesting shots imo.

Episode 23Okay, so I just was on danbooru looking at pictures when I saw a comic of Archer and Lancer fighting. One of Archer's swords broke and hit his head and guess what freaking pose he made when he fell down. I just now remember Rue posting a tweet of Archer laying down with Google Play cards laying around him the same pose in the Fate/Grand Order thread.

What the hell is wrong with some people in Japan? They think this shit is funny? It's not funny at all. How dare they make fun of what happened to Orga.

His death scene, and characterization up to that point was not handled that well. Beyond establishing how much he and Mika emotionally rely on each other, Orga's been shafted pretty hard, especially once the second season came. The slight romantic subtext with Merribit was dropped hard, Naze never became tested his loyalty/brotherhood, and his bond with Mika has never grown or changed considerably to further characterize/develop him or Mika. And paired in with such a cheesy death scene, it's no wonder it's become a meme, such a big meme that a good amount of people who haven't seen the show know about the meme and join in.

There's even a video of a high school graduation ceremony where the (I assume) valedictorian imitates the scene.

Honestly, the 2nd season of IBO had me going "ooo boy, who's gonna die this time" and "I feel something bad is about to happen" 80% of the time.

Because Duel Links, I'm rewatching the first arc of Yugioh!5Ds. I can safely say the whole Dark Signers is the best arc out of every Yugioh! series. The main highlight is Earthbound Immortals: wherewith combination of CGI models, their unnatural slow movement and the general disastrous atmosphere whenever they appears feels very threatening, creepy and awesome at the same time, especially Ep.39 where Izayoi slowly turn back and see Ccarayhua peeking through the window.

I've been watching the final episodes of Yugioh Zexal ever since I found out they were on Hulu a week or two ago.

Mobile Suit Gundam Iron Blooded Orphans Season 2 Episode 24:

So that same man who was involved before in Season 1 had his men watch the Admoss Company. It wasn't even planned, they just saw the opportunity and did it. To be killed by nameless grunts...

When Mikazuki said that Orga wasn't there anymore it made me feel so sad for a moment. But then, he told everyone that still intends to follow his orders to the very end and when the music started started played, I started to feel fired up as they were. Orga might be gone, but they still have a job to do.

Oh, I almost forgot about the white mobile suit, I can't believe it was for Orga all this time.

The fight between Gaelio and McGillis was awesome, Gundam Bael really showed what it was made of. It didn't have any real special weapons, but that didn't stop it from tearing through the battlefield. In the end, McGillis never made to Rustal. When the elevator door opened and Gaelio was already there, I thought he was just going to shoot McGillis and be done with it. Instead, they both had a chance to talk to each other before McGillis died. He actually still deep down considered Gaelio his friend. I still blame McGillis for getting Tekkadan in this mess in the first place.

I didn't expect Hush to be the first one to die in this battle. In his final moments, he thought of his friend and of catching up to Mikazuki. He was kind of annoying at first, but when I learned why Hush was so eager to pilot, I understood his feelings. At least he managed to accomplish that goal.

The last thing that Eugene said before the episode ended though, they really do intend to fight to the end. They don't expect to make out this alive...

Considering what happened last episode, I think I can call this a good episode because of that fight in space alone.

The final episode will be coming out next week. My Hero Academia is going to be taking its place, which I did not expect.

Just finished Musaigen No Phantom World this fine morning. While nothing extraordinary, it was a fun series with some cute, lively characters and nice action. Haruhiko is still the most #relatable anime protagonist I've seen in a while.

I was watching the 3rd Nanoha movie and started pondering the old Sauske dilemma again. How many times do you attempt to reason with someone hell bent on attacking you before you just knock them the fuck out and sort it out when they can't use their broken magic abilities to turn the tables and escape anytime you start talking? How many times after they shoot themselves in the chest just to hit you when you have the in a choke hold?

I also caught up on the Hi-Score Girl manga (which has been on my too read lost for a long while now), since there's an anime coming out later this year. That's a really fun read for people who are into early 90's arcade games but I do wonder how the anime will turn out. One character never talks, another's a little shit, and the third is basically Sakura Matou without the fucked up family issues. Then there's the issue of all the games companies which have to give their ok, and there's always that one that's a stick in the mud.

Started watching Gundam SEED Destiny finally. At least it starts stronger than SEED. I anticipate my decent into madness.
