So the SDCD is under the ministry of the environment and is responsible for things like purification of miasma, combating vengeful spirits and other such spiritual matters/protection and the Yatagarasu would be responsible for keeping the people of japan safe from demons along with general defense of japan just like their smt version (I assume) but what exactly is the PDCH?

They are related to the SDCD as you have stated and they handle supernatural matters but what exactly would their jurisdiction (responsibilities) be?

You also mentioned the Tokyo Guard is Kusumi's profile short is this related to the Imperial guard or is it something like a group under the SDCD?

Also would it be possible to get a little general info on the higher ups of the various organizations and organization culture/feel (or something like that)?

-PDCH (Paranormal Disaster Countermeasure Headquarters)-
A special military unit under the Ministry of Defense. The PDCH was formed at around the same time as the original SDCD, both in order to help them combat the supernatural, as well as to keep both them and the Ministry of the Environment from gaining too much power and influence in the government. Unlike the SDCD, who relied on rare, spiritually aware humans, as well as the descendants of old, powerful families who were experts in supernatural matters, the PDCH used sheer manpower, as well as the latest technology, when engaging supernatural entities. While this meant they were rather ineffective against the more powerful spirits, they were highly effective against wraiths and the like, and handled smaller cases that the SDCD simply didn't have the manpower to handle themselves.

However, like the SDCD, their ranks were heavily decimated during the Kyuubi incident, however, as they, unlike the SDCD, were innocent in terms of summoning the creature, they were allowed to persist and recover even when the remnants of the SDCD were disbanded, and as a result, took on a lot of the responsibilities that their sister organization had once handled.

They became responsible for cover ups of future supernatural activity, as well as monitoring the current status of the new phenomenon known as ESPers. A lot of ESPers who had been completely orphaned during the incident would be adopted by members of this organization, and as a result, this particular branch of the government has a relatively high ESPer count amongst their more human forces. Additionally, they have slowly picked up the old members of the SDCD, those who hadn't been lost in the Kyuubi incident, or condemned for it's summoning, and reintegrated them within their own organization, meaning that the current PDCH could be considered the result of a merge between the two sister organizations.

Certain teams within the PDCH, the elite of the elite, refer to themselves as "SDCD," for this very reason.

The organization appears to work with another one known as the Yatagarasu, however, what the Yatagarasu does is unknown, they are secretive to the point where even their existence is questioned, however, Sora is a Yatagarasu agent who is "on loan" to the PDCH. (Lol Kuzunoha)

The current PDCH carries a very familial feel to it due to the nature of it's current members often being related to one another, whether biologically, through adoption, or simply through the camaraderie of existing in the darkness together, and as a result, the organization as a whole is often described as a "big clan."

Because of this, they are perhaps the oddest government branch, and earn ire from other branches.


-Tokyo Guard-
A group of exorcists under the original SDCD, made up of the current "best of the best." Being within the unit is simply a mark of one's competence as an exorcist, and the current head of the SDCD branch of the PDCH, Lord Mikado, was present in this unit during his earlier years.
