Golden Dawn.
It's a coffee shop that no one is sure actually exists, one that seems to appear in a different place every-time people speak of it, appearing and disappearing, a place that is hard to find on purpose, but easy to wander into if its not your desire. As a result, it seems to have become a place where weird people gather, no one you find in that place is a normal person, simply because normal people can't seem to find it all, being relegated to the eternal status of "having heard about it from a friend."
Naturally, being the weirdo you are, you found yourself here one day, whether on investigation or by a whim, you made an order, sat down at one of the tables, and...
Found yourself sharing it with someone odd, someone you know perhaps, or an impossible stranger you'd have a hard time meeting otherwise.
The legend of friendships starting or strengthening over coffee has always been a true one.
But then again....
Can you really break free of being the awkward type...?
Sharing Tables
A small writing contest for all the players, regardless of their current in-game status. The premise is simple, one day, while investigating, or simply visiting, the Golden Dawn Coffee Shop, you've been sat down with an obvious weirdo because of space issues, it might be someone you already know, or perhaps someone new, someone you normally wouldn't have the chance to meet.
Regardless, they're with you now, and just staring awkwardly isn't very fun, so...
Why not try making friends?
After all... Rumor says you can't leave the cafe alone.
It's a place of friendship after all.
Magically enforced friendship.
Essentially, a small slice-of-life writing contest that's pseudo-canon, taking place in a "previous cycle," in an enchanted cafe where no one seems able to hurt anyone else, and no one can leave alone. A little snippet about sharing a table for breakfast/lunch/dinner with another character, be it an NPC (you can ask me questions if you're not sure how someone would respond to something) or another PC, and the small talk that comes from meeting a new person, or running into an unexpected friend while by yourself. The scenes can be serious or silly, don't have to be particularly long (although they can be) and any named character, including the villains and the goddesses (Yami and Tamamo), can be used if one desires.
It's a place where people who normally wouldn't meet, meet, after all.
There will probably be in-game prizes for participating, based around how accurate character portrayals are, how entertaining the scene happens to be, etc, although, what those prizes are shall remain a mystery.
Except for friendship, one of the prizes is clearly some form of friendship.
