Font looks good. I still prefer to not have the stats abbreviated, but I suppose it's not like it's a big deal when you can have the full names appear when you hover the mouse over them, especially since most people will already know what they mean anyway. "MGI" is confusing to me though. "MGK" would be short for "magic", right? And "magical energy" abbreviated would be...I don't know, MGE? But what does "MGI" stand for? Where does the "I" come from?

Ah, ok.
I wondered about that myself, and asked Quibi about it just 11 posts above yours, and he said: "The idea for abbreviations originated from the forum banner with Lancer.", which seems an odd reason to me, but whatever. Honestly I don't really understand why anyone felt there was a need to abbreviate the stat categories. They were good the way they were.

As Quibi explained, he remade the status menu with prerendered text so the opportunity to change it was there and he asked for opinions. It's not like he set out specifically to change to abbreviations.

But if you think that's all the new stuff that's waiting for you... think again. I have some more exciting stuff, but that would have to wait for later.
Allow me to give my opinion
The first, third and fourth pic are perfect, and the glow effect is great.
The skill title in the second pic is a bit misaligned though, you should lower it a bit. I also see that you set the skill description horizontal alignment to centered, but I think that the current alignment looks better (or something in the middle between the two).
The screens look great overall, but comparing them to the current ones their text looks a bit too dark. Can you try to make it a bit brighter somehow?
Also, don't forget to fix the typo in the third pic's text (surly)
PS: While making the comparisons I noticed the italic text you were talking about (the height/weight data). I think that your idea of making all the data text italic was good, but the italic text in your example was too sloped, thus uncomfortable to read, making everyone prefer the regular version.
If you manage to set a very light slope in the text, as close as possible to the current height/weight text, I'm sure it'll look great.

This is what I'm asking "Why?" about, and I still don't really understand said "why". I mean, he could have replaced the font with comic sans, but just because he can doesn't mean he should. That's not to say that the abbreviations are a bad change, but I just don't even see the point of changing it when they both seem to achieve the exact same thing, and changing things for the sake of change is not something I subscribe to.
Personally I'm more inclined to like the non-abbreviated versions simply because I still don't even see the practical use of it.

To better match the visual aesthetic of the original status screens, where all the stat names are two-kanji compounds that all take up a uniform (and much smaller) amount of space.

No italics because italics are harder to read, and no point just using it for stylistic purposes.
I prefer no abbreviations unless it's obvious what they stand for (but this will depend on people's prior experiences). STR and AGI are good, magic and luck are a bit awkward, and END/CON/NP are confusing. Japanese has a unique advantage in cases like these.
