Here's two of my favourite ads. Reason: cuteness, of course!
First, Ikea's kitties. If you ask me, every Ikea should have kitties every day, not only in commercials.
And here's the Finnair's classic, reindeer baby seeking for his mom. I cry every time I see this in movies, big screen, sometimes even seen in telly. ;_;
The original ad is from 2004, but they still show it usually near Christmas, this one has updated ending. The original ad ended to Finnair's (old?) slogan, "Illaksi kotiin" ('Home for the evening'), which was the case for the little reindeer too! <3
IIRC, this ad was voted for one of the best ads in Finland ever.
EDIT: Here's another fave commercial of mine, not cuteness this time, but pointing out some truths. Mentally handicappeds' association made this for educational purposes, but it was also voted for one of the best ads. Translation of the slogan in the end is just a bit hard, because of different terminology...
"Kehitysvamma ei tartu. Asennevamma periytyy." is directly traslated "Mental Retardation is not contagious. Attitude problems are hereritady/passed down." The problem is that there's complicated play on words that can't be translated, so it loses a lot in translation. The main pun is that we have in colloquial Finnish a word for attitude problems that describes also them as a some kind of disability, "attitude disability", and it's here compared with "mental disability".
Every time I see this, I want to go to punch that stupid mom who doesn't let her kid go to play with that little girl. Down's syndrome is not contagious! (And not it makes me even more mad, because one of my friend has a little Down girl, and she's adorable!)
