Shiningphoenix, you should have used FATAL's mechanics instead of nWoD.

Why? FATAL has an archaic fantasy setting, so to the extent that it's worth anything at all, it's still pointing in the wrong direction for a character in a modern setting.

Also, "After Sundown" is actually someone's (free) modded WoD with the IP sanded off, and uses what I'm pretty sure is Shadowrun's dice system.

Note: This AU project is about the False Grail War of Snowfield, California, set 5 years after the Failure of Heaven's Feel 5, which results to the Mass Destruction of Fuyuki City. Also, this war sorta follows a bit of Fate/EXTRA and Fate/Apocrypha elements (there are 28 Servants in this War, four of each class), and the Master Rank system from Fate/Prototype

Daniel Sapienti de Sable

(Well, he's more of a Major character than a "protagonist", but he's is important to both of the other two protagonists' scenarios)

One of the last surviving descendents of Robert de Sable, and loyal member of the Templar and the Vatican Church, along with his assistant, Maria de Luca, who harbors hidden feelings for him. Half-Italian/Half-French. Intelligent, Caring, Faithful, and never stops smiling. His late mother was implied to be a descendent of Claude des Armoises, and her family were safeguarding the Banner of Jeanne d'Arc (which serves as a catalyst, along with their chosen vessel). As a Templar member, Daniel's main weapon is "The White Key", which takes a form of a silver rosary, that can transform into a rapier/longsword in combat upon activation from channel prana through this holy relic. However, he, along with Maria, also carry some firearms that can fire conceptual bullets with casings made of silver blessed by the Vatican Church members.

Just after Fuyuki's Mass Destruction, while he's currently a Priest-in-training under his father's supervision, Daniel instantly fell into a coma for a few days. While in coma, he experienced unusual dreams and hearing a mysterious voice explaining something about the upcoming Prophecy and provide instructions to Daniel on summoning the "Saint" for this War (Ruler). Once he finally woken up, he found his upper body covered with "leftover Command Seals from the previous War". His family believed that what's left of the Pure Grail chose him as one of this New War's Overseers, and believed that the Prophecy that their ancestors predicted/theorized will come that they prepare to assist Pure Grail's summon of their second Overseer. Now, he acts as the Supervisors of this new Grail War along with Ruler (Jeanne d'Arc).

Even though Daniel is an Administrator of this war, what he desire from the Grail is to heal his beloved comatose sister, Sophia (who is suffering a terminal illness since birth and is currently Jeanne's vessel in this war). Sophia had a hard time in her childhood due to her illness (and sorta being shunned for being the indirect cause of their mother's death in childbirth), but Daniel (along with a few others such as their father and Maria) was the only one who cared and loved Sophia and never blamed her for that indirect cause. That's why Daniel tried his best to take care of her while being a Templar member, in order for her to be happy in her Life and not to feel burdened about the past. He was stricken with grief when Sophia's condition starts to worsen and has fallen to a coma, and that's why Daniel is so determined to save her with the Grail's miracle, even through Ruler's warning, he'll pay any price to save her, so she can live Happily again, even if it means "he will no longer be part of her Life".

Daniel represents Hope.

Tomokazu Ryukihei

A Freelance Spellcaster hunts down both Rogue Magi and mostly Terrorists (as Terrorist Attack began to increased just after the Fall of Fuyuki City) for the US organization where both scientists, mercenaries, and some freelance Magi and Alchemists work together. Japanese-American (and a little bit of Welsh or Irish heritage from his Great-Grandmother). Tomokazu can be cold, brutal, and ruthless when it comes to his job, but in public, he's more of a "brilliant but lazy" Jerkass (don't worry, he'll go into a character development in the later chapters, especially when he accidently summon himself a Servant and then meets the Sajyou family). Not only he is Practitioner of Houjutsu (paper talismans) and Curses (especially curses related to his Family's special "Bloodcraft"), but Tomokazu is also a specialist with Modern Weaponry such as firearms (especially when he one of the volunteers to use these experimental bullets crafted by both group of Scientists and Alchemists of the organization he works for) and bombs. Even hough he does carry his grandfather's Mystic Code, a Ninjato, he passed it on to his Raven-Familiar, Vermilion (AKA "V"), who has been a Familiar for his late Grandfather and his late mother in the past years.

He stumbled upon the War by accident and instantly became the Master of Rider, the Famous Warlord who wished to fight again in this Grail War and also to explore the new world outside his Home Country. Though Tomokazu first showed no interest about this Grail, through the persistent from his Familiar, he decided to take this participation in order to remove this dreadful curse that has been laid upon him and his mother's family ever since, before it can take his Life away any minute.

Ryukihei is not his real family name, it was his late mentor's. It was later revealed that his mentor was meant to be Rider's Master of this War. Tomokazu's family from his mother's side are already dead, due to half of them were consumed by their own Curse, while the other half were killed in a tragic fire incident (caused by his great-grandmother for some reason). Which makes Tomokazu the last living member of that family. As for his father, well... you just have to wait and see...

His Love Interest is Ayaka Sajyou.

Elsasviel "Elsa/Elly" von Einzbern

The new Einzbern Homunculus. Physically 17, actual age:5. Many enemy Masters believed her to be the new Vessel for the Grail, but in reality, she's actually a Decoy Homunculus. Her older twin, Astasviel (physically 11, actual age: 5 1/2; sometimes nicknamed as "Asta" or "Azzy"), is the true Vessel (and will soon wear the Dress of Heaven near the end of the War). She is the Master of of Archer, a King who wants to prove to the world who is their "True King" here. As member of the Einzbern family, she's skillful with Alchemy (like Irisviel) and also a professional wielder of a Halberd weapon (like Leysritt). While Elly serves as the Offensive type in battle, Azzy serves as the Defensive type.

Ever since the failure of the 5th Grail War, and the End of Fuyuki City, including the loss of his Einzbern Homunculus. Jubstachiet turned to Rohngall for his help in order to replicate the Holy Grail War. After the agreement, he began creating and new Einzbern Homunculus, Astasviel. However, in order to keep Astasviel secure from the enemies, old man Acht created the decoy, Elsasviel, a few months after Astasviel "birth".

While at first Elly seems very diligent and determined to fulfill her duties and her family's wish to achieve the True Magic, even if it means that she'll die at the end of the war (and she's prepared for it), she and her sister act like a Dolls/Puppets/Tools. But, through some character development, thanks to her encounter with a young man full of Life (who will be her love interest), Elly, and maybe along with Azzy later on, slowly began to open up and starts question her own motive/reason to live. She began thinking about wanting to use the Grail to live longer as a Human to be with him. Though she'll find some issues once her love interest got himself involved in this war...

Her Love Interest is Ace (the Prologue MC from Fate/EXTRA). That's his nickname, his real name will be revealed near the end.

I'm going to be honest here. Elsasviel sounds awful, and it's not like we don't have an example of an Einzbern grail core homunculus whose name doesn't end in "sviel", like Juzteaze or however is spelled.
