I call oni oni. I call mixed bloods demon hybrids, because mixed blood started sounding pretty racist, but I'm not going to call them oni hybrids when they aren't all mixed with oni.
I also went with devil for akuma and demon for ma, just so there would be less examples of everything being demons.

I feel there still has to be a better word to use for half bloods than demon. Because no one is going to get there's a difference between demon and devil without having that explained to them.

There's really a big difference between Devils and Demons, yeah they're both evil in a different level. Devils being lawful Evil and Demons are Chaotic Evil.
I mean, it basically comes down to how you want to translate plain 魔, since Red Demon God makes it pretty clear that "mixed blood" is referring to people who have some kind of 魔 or another in their lineage. I was thinking monster for a bit but that didn't feel as nice. Demon is way more distortion in nature-y.
Except these two things aren't two sides of the same coin that wage eternal war for basic cosmological reasons. And for everyone who hasn't, demons and devils are the same thing (hence the terms being interchangeable in Digital Devil Saga).

I'm not sure I understand your statement so I'm just going to clarify that in Dungeons and Dragons demons and devils are both evil outsiders that fight each other because law and chaos oppose each other just as hard as good and evil and in Nasuland what McJon01 is calling demon hybrids are in no way related to what he is calling devils and they don't fight each other.
