you know, Dragonball is actually one of the few series where i think both the german and the english dubs are better than the original. And why? Because for whatever reason, in Dragonball they never swiched out the seiyuu's for the characters who started out as kids and grew up adult later. This is aawkward for Kuririn, its really awkward for Goku, and its super-awlward for Gohan. Makes it really hard to watch.

Japanese dub is decent. German one is atrocious. English good if done by Abridged people.
I admit Cell sounded pretty bleh, but at least the german dub did all the names right. instead of going for awkward changes like Hercule instead of Mr. Satan.

anyways so i just watched an episode of Kai (the latest one, since it was best seeded) and, well, aside from the OP and ED it didnt look like it had any new animation?
No, it doesn't. It has new soundtrack. In the first run, they restored original soundtrack for newer BD releases since it turned out Yamamoto plagiarised everything from other musicians. The second run has a soundtrack from Battle of Gods movie.
The original Kai soundtrack was still better.
