    I am cautiously curious about Toriyama's take on Broly. But they also said several months ago this movie was going to be about the history of the Saiyans so I'm interested for that alone.

    This announcement made me go back and watch the first Broly movie again. It has a lot more buildup than I remembered. Broly was pretty good.

    The first movie is fine. Honestly if Kakarott had just been his trigger word and not something he screamed all the time/had an irrational grudge against most of my complaints would be solved.

    Here's to hoping toriyama's take on him is interesting.


    The 2nd and 3rd movies were kinda dumb. He had nothing interesting about him there.

    I sometimes wonder if it's implied he had brain damage in the second movie

    Watching it again I kind of got the impression he wasn't really mad at Goku over him crying per se, but that it was associated with him getting stabbed. So it's less "randomly mad at Goku crying" and more that it's like PTSD.
