It's rather hard to top Ultra Instinct.
Rather they invest in making the stakes close enough that it doesn't require Fusion but still gripping.
Or have other characters do fights but lol this is DragonBall

Well I wasn't a fan of Super 17, but Baby and the Shadow Dragons were cool in concept.
I just got back from watching the movie, it was so amazing. The fights were just so well animated. I even got one of those little poster things for the movie. There weren't that many people either, which was nice. There was this one guy that said, "Buu want movie", before it started, and it sounded so much like Buu it was scary.

^ I'm not sure what to feel about this new game announcement. I'm not sure if an "action RPG" style gameplay is enough of a shake up to get me motivated to go back to DBZ's story which I've experienced countless times through the many many Dragonball games. :/

Really? Yamcha's in and honestly he's probably weaker than Videl.
Just my irrational dislike because her inclusions feel like the usual 'need more female' to me.

I would feel that if Chichi were included, but Videl does have a precedent in other Dragon Ball games, and she does have ki training.
Videl is cool. Jiren is good.
They're releasing so much DB stuff lately. Another game? It's a deluge.

Battle doesn't need a purpose; the battle is its own purpose. You don't ask why a plague spreads or a field burns. Don't ask why I fight.
I'm glad they also decided to add DBS Broly as a separate character, instead of giving a costume to DBZ Broly.
Unless you assume things never shown nor stated in the series (like Gohan giving Videl thorough training despite him stopping his own training to study), there's no chance in hell that Videl is stronger than Yamcha. She'd be lucky to reach Saiyan Saga Yamcha's level of power.
That said, she's vastly more interesting as a character, so I'd rather have her in the game than Yamcha.
As for the new game... how is this supposed to feel different from Xenoverse or the trash that was Sagas?
