I'm thinking about returning to Kanzenshuu now that I regained hype for the series.
What's general opinion here about Dragonball Multiverse? It's a mixed bag for me.

It's ok-ish. A lot of really random stuff, even by DBZ standards, and way too much wank for certain characters.

It gets nothing but complaints on Kanzenshuu. And also its own site. But people keep going back to it. Kind of reminds me of Lantz threads.
It started off with promise, had good art and has good art again. Every now and then it has an exciting premise or situation but it usually squanders it. But I keep reading it anyway.

Battle doesn't need a purpose; the battle is its own purpose. You don't ask why a plague spreads or a field burns. Don't ask why I fight.
The art quality is also wildly inconsistent

Also I'm totally calling it: Buu's about to absorb Kaioshin with his head tentacle.

That's because they use different artists. That's why they have all those specials too, to space it out like anime filler to give the artists time to draw. The problem is 90% of the specials are just "bad guy murders everyone for 10 pages" instead of anything new or exciting.

Vegetto and that AU Bra are painful for me. Especially Bra. Having higher power level than Broly when born reeks of wank.way too much wank for certain characters.
Was there an exciting special?
Like, all the ones I can remember are pretty boring.
The way Vegetto was handled still bugs me.

Brolly himself was wanked to be 'invincible'

Vegito and Zen Buu are my favorites. I don't really see how Vegito of all people was wanked since he's pretty much the one guy you're supposed to wank. Gilgamesh of DBZ.
Specials... well, this one is okay so far. We at least got to see how Buu might potentially act if he ever absorbed Vegeta. Vegeta's grudge is so strong that it makes Buu challenge Goku to a 1 on 1 even though he could murder him instantly.

I tolerate it because of HIS POWER IS MAXIMUM meme, even if they made up lot of things about Brolly.Like, I didn't even understand the basis for'invincible Brolly'
^Zen Buu is pretty fun antagonist so I think he is my favorite character at this point.

There is nothing not made up about Broly, he's a movie only character.
DBMultiverse per se made up the whole "he takes no damage thing" which is a really weird thing to do considering he does take damage in the movies.
Okay he takes damage at the last hit of his movies, but still.
Also they wildly exaggerated his rising power, that was silly. If they wanted him to be that strong they just had to make it a Broly that never lost in the first movie and kept getting stronger.

O piteous Wanderer.
Even if he is non-canon, they still diverge significantly from the movie he starred in.There is nothing not made up about Broly, he's a movie only character.
But the comics is fanfiction anyway, so I don't mind changes that much unless they are too ridiculous even for a fanfic.

Honestly I was just sad they went with the Broly that doesn't talk. He was actually pretty talkative in the first movie but then everyone forgot about it because of the second one.

I just didn't realise people cared about DBZ' plot.
To me it was just a medium for shit blowing up and page long fights.
That's not what my 12 year old self believed and he loved DBZ.
Well, the plot was pretty simple, but the characters' personalities is what drew everybody in. Even in the simple plot of the new movies, what everybody always talks about are the character moments. Like the Vegeta dancing and stuff to entertain Beerus. Or Beerus and Whis going after all the food.
I was watching old YT videos of the original Funi dub of the Cell saga the other night and I forgot how much I loved Cell and his VA's delivery of all his lines. So smug.
