Honestly, I lost my interest in Dragonball after GT, and wasn't invested enough to get into the Z reboots. To this day, I still think that Dragonball was better before Z, but whatever I or any other naysayer might think, there'll never be another shounen like Dragonball Z.
After all, every shounen made since Dragonball has, in some respect, tried to be Dragonball.

Honestly I don't think it's even just limited to shonen. Dragon Ball has had such a knock-on effect that I would say that almost every single anime-styled work of fiction nowadays shares at least some partial DNA with it.

I think there is some truth to the notion. When something gets that big, and influences so much of what one could consume, it would likely influence their works too, even if indirectly.
Though obviously that doesn't just apply to Dragon Ball. Heck, you could likely say the same thing of every inspiration Toriyama drew on for Dragon Ball. Without them Dragon Ball wouldn't become what it did so they have just as much of a knock-on impact as Dragon Ball itself, if not even more so.

Also true. One of the reactions I see a lot from people who read Journey to the West (the real deal) is "this is a lot like modern shonen anime".
