Gotta admit, that fight was pretty cool.
FGO Supports
A return to form for Asuna. And she looks like she's on a path toward more confrontation with her mother.
Not Magus! Magic Emperor Magus!
Mother's Rosario arc adaptation coming along quite nicely. Wasn't expecting Asuna to make the jump to having to confront her mother right there in-game though. It seemed more of a build-up in the LN. As usual, going to see how everything plays out before passing judgement, so not really picking on it.
New OP makes me want to cry too, especially that little sequence when they show Yuuki and her sister growing up. Heck, seeing Yuuki all spirited knowing how the story plays out...
One must know the path one runs even if the ground underfoot is not as one chooses
They made the Sleeping Knights look as awesome as they should and made Yuuki look as OP as she should, thank you this adaptation gud.

Have yet to be spoiled about what will happen next, but so far I think this is actually my favourite arc out of all of them. I wish this was what SAO was from the start.
It doesn't have the tension of Aincrad or GGO but the premise is less stupid. It's a lot easier to identify with people once you understand what is going on.

It's more about "mixed-gender group of friends" vs "Kirito and his harem". Aincrad with the Sleeping Knights + Asuna would have been great.
Yeah, Klein and Agil made his harem too much a sausage fest. Needs more women.

Yep, probably main reason I like Mother's Rosario arc the most is because the way it makes the real and virtual worlds collide is much more natural, and not a contrived premise like Aincrad's death game conspiracy or GGO's wanna-keep-on-PKing scheme.
I guess that's what I've found the most interesting about SAO, in that despite it not being a terribly 'great' story, it explores how the real and virtual interact and whether there's a difference between the two. Now SAO doesn't go into much depth at all in exploring the real/virtual world interactions, rather it just takes a few pokes at it here and there along the way, but it's given a few starting points for thought.

Too bad everything else is shite.Which is another reason Accel World is superior.
Accel World I found to be a bit of a different take on that subject, in that the virtual world could have actual effects on the physical... a more 'sci-fi' premise, you could say.
Myself, I was thinking more simply of just a person's behaviour, in what situations a person would behave differently in the real vs virtual world, and in what situations would a person behave the same? What can happen which will blur the lines between the two (such as being trapped there for a couple years)? Why do they behave differently or the same?
It's a question which I've found to be interesting because I've been a long time internet gamer, going back to BBS's even before the internet, and seeing the difference between online and real life behaviour is an interesting contrast.

Pacing's actually acceptable in this Mother's Rosario arc. GGO was so painful to watch, I don't even know why I kept tuning in each week.
I thought I had kind of tuned out of SAO by now but the OP gets me emotional every time for some reason. Argh.

Kirito!Lancelot, Ruby!Asuna, and some other random things in the first half. Nice, but I'll take the second half and next episodes.
By the way, I really dig how the way A-1 improved with SAO's adaptation mirrored Kawahara's growth. Well, if it'd continue like this then it'll get shitty once more with the third season. (what, they'd need to milk the last of SAO's main story before getting back to Aincrad)

Hmm. They played that a little bit differently than I would've. Not quite as upsetting as it is presented in the novel.
