Mine was Magcargo I think.. But Volcarona is also very good, because, like Talonflame, it learns Fly and has Flame Body.

Problem with Volc is that it's a pain to get, while Talonflame evolves early, from a common poke.

Time for a bit of Mega Lopunny Analysis, so far my 2nd favorite new Mega after Beedrill


let's look at those stats

Look at that Attack and Speed


That speed puts it in the same speed tier as Mega Manetric, meaning she's faster than Mega Gengar. In fact, the only non-banned pokemon faster than her are Mega Beedrill/Sceptile/Alakazam/Aerodactyl, Ninjask, Accelgor, and Electrode.


Her attack, while high, isn't particularly outstanding, meaning she is outclassed by Mega Beedrill as a fast physical sweeper.

However, her ability and typing means her STABs are unresisted by every pokemon in the game, because every pokemon that resists normal does not resist fighting.

Let's look at a build

Lopunny @Lopunnite
Ability:Klutz
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Fakeout
- Return
- Hi Jump Kick
- Elemental Punch(?)

With this, a mega Lopunny with High Jump Kick will survive a sucker punch from Mega Kang and has a guaranteed OHKO.

Fakeout + High Jump Kick will take out a max HP max Def mega Gyarados, even after being intimidated

Fire Punch will 2HKO a Mega Mawile

Fakeout + Ice Punch can take out a Dragonite with max HP and Def investment, not that you'll ever see one

Basically, if it's weak to fighting and not called Mega Aggron, it'll probably die to Hi Jump Kick.

Alternatively, a sub punch build could be viable as well.

So, I'm training some Pokes to tackle the Battle Maison, and looking at some recommended movesets, I've seen Icy Wind. Problem is...for the Pokemon I wanted Icy Wind for (Suicune), it's tutor only.

Any good alternatives moves?

I need the occasional speed decrease, but I primarily need someone that can cover for Gliscor's weaknesses.

Empoleon seems like a nice choice; it resists Water and Ice.

So I wanna make a team with bisharp and mega lopunny, I need suggestions for a core/multiple cores that will work well alongside thwm.

Also, mega slowbro's bulk is disappointing, and salamence is everywhere, Christ.

As far as defensive cores go, you could go fairy/steel/dragon, in which case I'd recommend Azumarill and Goodra to complement Bisharp for bulk.

As far as offensive core goes, nothing resists Lopunny alone but with Azumarill, Bisharp, Lopunny, and Goodra, you have a dearth of physical attackers.

So, I'd go with Tentacruel as a special sweeper/rapid spinner and probably Thundurus to cover your electricity weakness.
