The capitalization in the config menu is inconsistent: "Instant Effects" and "Special effects". I'm using Jack's patch, but I assume this is the same in both.

Thanks, I'll ask Waku Waku if he can edit that (just noticed that the config menu also has both "Menu Screen" and "Menu screen")

    Hopefully this isn't off-topic...

Your patch isn't listed on VNDB:
    http://vndb.org/v11#main

...even though Jack's patch is listed:
    http://vndb.org/r34896

I don't really know how to add things to VNDB, but if someone could do it that'd be nice (man that list of releases is long as it is)

Even if it's optional, my patch DOES include 18+ content so it should be rated as such since there is such content, optional or not.

Ok so turn Jack's to 18+ and put mine in I guess? Again I don't know anything about vndb so I can't do it.

Except that this logic is directly counter to the 8-year old listing of Mirror Moon's Tsukihime English patch which also has optional H-content and yet is rated 16+:
    http://vndb.org/r341

And as you can see has been listed as 16+ since at least 2007-12-05:
    http://vndb.org/r341.1

    On topic EDIT:

I can add the info, I just need to know what you want me to put for the various pieces of info.

Well I looked at the fields and most of them are actually pretty obvious, like this is clearly a digital download of an English complete patch that came out 2014-07-14 that runs on Windows and is for ages 15+.

For something like "Producers" though, it wasn't just Koto though right? Isn't there still some basis off of Jack's and WakuWaku's work?

If you've got enough time to edit your post over and over you've got enough time to edit Jack's patch information to 18+, the age rating determined by the project developer and therefore the official age rating of the project. Regardless of how you, personally, feel about the matter, marking it as 15+ is inaccurate.

Because a) Jack gets to choose since he made it, b) the Tsukihime rating should probably be 18+ too, and c) even if you let that stand, an option to take the porn out if a porn game is qualitatively different from an option to add porn into a non-porn game and one shouldn't be used as a precedent for the other.

I don't care what was done with TSukihime, if I'm packing porn, I want that to be clarified since I don't want anyone who shouldn't DL it DLing it.

That awkward moment when Mcjon and I are agreeing.

I'd like to point out that I didn't change it not because I didn't have time or because I refused to, I didn't change it because I wasn't sure what VNDB's policy on such matters was. Besides, I didn't want to make this derail that much since Koto specifically said in her opening post for this thread to not be for off-topic discussions.

I'm still investigating VNDB's policy on the definition of 15+ vs 18+ when it comes to patches. If/when I have results I will post about it in Jack's thread.

    --------

    On topic:

The entry for Koto as a producer now exists:
    http://vndb.org/p4530

    EDIT:

    Behold the glorious-ness:
    http://vndb.org/r35204

...though I still don't know who else had involvement in this patch and therefore should be counted at a "Publisher" as well.

Also what exact wording do you want me to put for the notes? Currently I just copied the following short-yet-accurate phrase from your Tumblr:
A patch to translate the PC download edition of Fate/stay night [Réalta Nua]
(you didn't happen to get the terminology of "PC download" from me by any chance, did you?)

Since Koto's patch is a spin off of mine the rest of us should be included in hers too and that's why changing mine to 18+ is a good idea.

I dunno, it's the download version and it's for the PC so I guess it just seemed natural to call it that?

FYI, I fixed the links in my previous post to link to the actual entry and not the initial revision.

And koto, you didn't answer my main question regarding the notes. Perhaps I should instead ask if it's OK to blatantly copy the following paragraph from your Tumblr and use that as the notes?

This patch fully translates the three-part digital download edition of Realta Nua (Fate, Unlimited Blade Works, and Heaven’s Feel), translating all differences between the original and RN text including the replacements of the H scenes (bringing the age rating down to around 15+). Since the patch is for the RN version, the game will of course have all RN’s new CGs, BGM and effects not seen in the original 18+ version.

(Note: This patch is not compatible with the original version of Fate/stay night.)
    EDIT:

So the publisher list on both Koto's and your patch should be identical?

Found two typos (that aren't already listed here) so far. Can't guarantee that I'll bother posting others I come across, since I'm lazy, and it's a bother/effort to report them while I'm playing the game. But anyway:

For the first one, I don't remember what the scene was called, or exactly what the sentence was, but it was on the Third Day of the Prologue when Rin and Archer is at school, and they discover the boundary field. It's in the scene when Rin is still in the classroom, at the end of the day, before she goes up to the roof to remove the magic circle (and encounters Lancer). The sentence starts with something like "There are several kinds of boundary field...", blah blah blah (Rin is explaining boundary fields). I believe it should be "fields", in plural.

For the second one, it's during "1st Day: After school - Brownie chocolate cake". It's the scene you get to after choosing to go work instead of staying late at school and helping Issei. Shirou gets a lot of money from his boss as thanks, and his inner dialogue goes: "He hands me three 10,000 yen bills. A reward unmatched for the three hours of work I did, much more that I would get for even a week's work.". "that" should be "than".

EDIT: Forgot to mention that I'm using Jack's patch, but I assume these typos are the same in both versions.

EDIT 2: Another typo: During "3rd Day: Night-Returning home - One more time", when Lancer is just arriving to try and kill Shirou for the second time. The line "If anything here could be weapon, it's..." is missing an "a". "If anything here could be a weapon, it's...".

EDIT 3: And another one just a little later, in the same scene...: "The feeling of metal running into in me...". "into in" is redundant. Either "into" or "in" should be removed, depending on whether Shirou is talking about the feeling of the metal lance ramming into his chest, or about the feeling of the metal lance being in him/having pierced him.

EDIT 4: Another one, same day, during "Lecture on Masters - Tohsaka Rin(II)". Line: "A ghost can be only hurt by ghosts.". I think "only" and "be" should be switched around here. "A ghost can only be hurt by ghosts.".
