Hope the BD can make the pacing not feel weird

Doubt it's going to happen, but the original script for the movie was 2 hours 30 min long (IIRC the editor told Sudou to cut it down to 2 hours or something,) and I'd really like if the BD had the original 2 hrs 30 min, as the limited amount of time/pacing was the only large gripe I had with the movie.

Yes, a Latin american one. I didn't consider the subtitles (as I already knew the dialogues I didn't focus much on the accuracy of them), so that might have been it.



I told him I could explain the parts he didn't understand as I already knew the story, but he said he didn't understand a thing. Mostly because of the fast transitions post-prologue. Maybe it wasn't that it was badly explained, but the jump from the OP was very unexpected, and from then on he was confused. As he was trying to figure out exactly how much they skipped, more scenes were very short BUT with a lot of information.

like the scene of Assassin giving birth to Hassan, Rider loosing too fast giving the impression of dying, the whole Caster scene, the protection Hassan had against invisible air was weirdly explained, etc.

It was like the movie didn't give enough time to process what happened between scenes.

All those scenes were super short and kind of unexplained even in the original route. Like you don't need to know more about Hassan's wind protection other that he has it because it's useful in the desert. The only thing they skip in the movie is the chant he does.

I know, but after the sudden impact of those scenes in the novel you had time to process what was happening with a Shirou cooking scene, a talk with Sakura, etc. while you didn't in the movie. I know the reasons for skipping them (it's not like you can extend the movie another hour just to give intermission scenes), but it was weird.

Do Blu-Rays typically add more scenes to movies themselves or do they just show additional scenes separately like for deleted scenes?

In the anime she had simple red framed glasses, these ones have more decoration, like her pendant at the fold (I don't know glasses terminology) and from then on they're black instead of red. Though she does have black glasses in the VN.
