I don't hate rider or sakura, it just, I don't think the intended "chemistry" between Shirou and Sakura works at all. And that included the original VN as well.

Nah, it is about the story telling. No matter Sakura is likeable or not, in the original VN, HF is one of the best route in terms of the story. However, the way how the movie tell the story is the biggest downfall.

Why the Rider hate, guys

Even in HF she doesn't get much characterization, and what she does get is pretty half-assed... mostly a bunch of parallels with Sakura. (Oh look, she's self-conscious about her height, just like how Sakura is self-conscious about her weight!) She doesn't have much of a personality, doesn't interact in any interesting way with the other characters, doesn't matter to any other character's development... basically she's just there to do a couple things for the plot.

I enjoyed Rogue One, so looks like I'll enjoy the HF movie as well

Yes and no. Not my waifu or best girl though, someone who would go yandere is a big minus for me.

To be fair, compare with Saber and Rin, who's "strong women" with competitive personality, that duo would be dominating the relationship with Shirou. So if I am in shirou's shoe, I may have a hard time. In many way, Shirou Saber ship is more like Shirou become her new Guinevere.

I can see Nasu tried to make Sakura miserable, being the princess waiting for her white knight and give Shirou some heroic moments. But:

When there's a challenge or a big shit hit the fan, Saber would takes her sword and fight her way out, Rin will take on a more "tactical" approach, they will never give in to the status quo and will try their best to turn the tide.

Sakura on the other hand, would just gave in, crying and feeling miserable.

And that makes me find Saber more adorable, Rin more admirable and more willing to be their white knight.
