I'd say the most there can be is two movies. If they extend it to three or more no matter what they do the first movie is going to be dull as shit for 98% of it.

UBW is 24 episodes long. I'm not saying that HF would need 4 films but 2 seems to be the bare minimum ...

UBW is 24 episodes long. I'm not saying that HF would need 4 films but 2 seems to be the bare minimum ...

Literally nothing exciting or memorable would happen in the first movie until the end, though. Just slow slice of life scenes and some vague foreshadowing that something bad is going to happen. That's fine for an episode of an anime series, but if it's a MOVIE then I want something to actually happen in it. I can't imagine people going to movie theaters, seeing this idea of a first movie, and then walking away happy. That also means we'd be waiting like at least 3-4 years for the whole thing to finish.

I'd rather have one three hour movie. Some things would be rushed and some things would be cut out, but if they assume people watched Fate/Zero and UBW before going in then they could easily pick the redundant things and the exposition to rush/cut and leave plenty of early cooking and foreshadowing for the first 1/3rd and then the good bits after. If that's no good, then I'd be fine with two movies. But three or more is just... I'd rather not.

Personally HF has some very neat scenes, and following Fate/Zero that's gotta be good.

the Nanoha movies (and some KnK movies) were 2h30 min long.
also Ufotable had loli Sakura naked and covered in crest worms on the first episode of F/Z and that was a TV airing. I'm pretty sure we'll have the sex

Theyre referring it to the same way they did with KnK, i think a theatrical format anime. Most anime are not.
