See Zouken musing on the fact she has been contaminated with it for years so the two became more compatible, it's pretty much implied that the compatibility is only so good because she had this connection for a long time now.
Maybe think of it like a bad version of the connection Shirou had with Avalon shoved in him. Sakura gets AM, the Rhinegold, on top of Zouken's familiars injecting Makiri knowledge to make her a cellular conduit.

I think it gets rather understated that she has had these things cultivated inside her for over a decade.

The only thing it provides is yet more evidence that whoever is in charge of choreography in Ufo has completely divorced the very notion of subtlety and restraint while simultaneously making Ufo's constant use of CGI that much more glaring.

*Raises Hand* I thought the Cu vs Hassan fight was cool, tbh. Generally speaking, I appreciate any servant-on-servant action (take that how you wish) because that's one of the core features of Fate that makes it interesting to me—heroic spirits battling each other. They'd have to do something really bad and/or dumb for me to dislike them taking the opportunity to show servants fighting each other.

Additionally, I find it really appealing when servants are shown doing stuff without it being master+servant in an open area fighting another master+servant. Giving an actual visual for Kirei and Zouken using their servants to do shady shit behind the scenes is a nice alternative to the much more straightforward UBW anime.

Lancer VS Assassin was 8 min long in a 120 min long movie, and only less than half of it was anime original. How can someonw think that it "burnt up runtime" is beyond me.

presage flower was willing to rush past the parts covered by UBW so i kinda wish it was also fine with just shafting lancer's character entirely, its not his route to shine anyway. it felt really weird when i went to the first day screening for movie 1 that showed a stage interview with the VAs of the important characters and lancer's VA was there along with shirou/saber/rin/sakura/kirei's VAs. he apparently counted just because of that 8 minute battle scene.

also i guess personally speaking, i care for fate mainly because of shirou's character, so servant action is something i honestly dont care much about.

For those of us attracted to fate mainly for arturia and shirou as characters in particular, its not something with room for complaints...

Everyone has their sticking points in this franchise, but the development teams will focus on what they want to irrespective of the fanbases of individual characters, that's relegated only to outside merchandising

If one's main complaint that they are focusing on too much of one thing compared to another, there's no helping it

Shopping scene is not even required in the VN, you could chiose Illya visiting your home and you'd still be fine.
