A number of people posted screenshots and/or camrips of the movie in the /a/ thread (or should I say threads, because I saw about a dozen in a cursory browse over the archive).

At this point, just let it roll off you. It's not wrong that Sakura fans are divided in what they like from her, that's not untrue.
And I think people are just getting exaggerated notions because of unrealistic expectations. If things went the other way, they'd argue the heroine isn't getting enough setup and dialogue and we'd get the retarded "HF is the Ilya route, I guess" bits. I tempered my expectations a long time ago due to the pace of the first film, the runtime, and how each scene contributes the whole narrative.
But from Japan it looks like positive reviews keep pouring in, so I always take this part of the fandom with a more scrutinizing gaze.

So here is the ANN review.
tl;dr version: The reviewer loved it a lot.
We definitely got the scene where Rin cruelly shatters Shinji's hopes and dreams...right? No way it got deleted forever, nope. It's a pivotal scene RIGHT?
So when will a European pleb such as myself be able to watch the movie?
