I mean, regular Saber with Rin as the master retains her agility, OG instinct and gets better mana supply, while also getting support from Rin. Not that far fetched to think she can beat this SAlter.

As for Herk, if Saber with Shirou as her master could beat him once in UBW, then with Rin? Yeah.

Shame the only thing Saber under Rin did is stand and watch as others solve multiple problems one by one all by themselves, with her minimal effort against Sasaki, who should have been an one-shot if Sabr undur Run Cun Dufut Bursurkcar or whatever Nasu said.

The Sasaki fight was less about beams and the spectacle whatnot (since she couldn't risk going all in that particular strat) and more so on swordsmanship. I thought it was pretty cool but yeah, its a shame that scenario with Saber never went anywhere (sans the Good Ending)

Then again, that's the fault of how the routes had been structured. You need all of them together in order to get the full picture, and each one individually is a fragment that answers and addresses the others.

Near the end of the fight, Berserker throws a huge punch, just like the one from the fight in HF1. Instead of getting rekt like before, Saber Alter tanks the hit (only getting her visor damaged), uppercuts Berserker, then Excaliburs him for the final blow. Her greater damage resistance was certainly conveyed.

I'm pretty sure she actually counters it with a punch of her own, you can see her smack away his fist, uppercut the shit out of him then beamu.

Hard to belive Rin Arturia actually beats Alter considering what has been displayed, but Alter doesnt care about property damage anyways...IIRC, its stated clearly during UBW that she'd be able to hand Herc his ass after the contract

It said she wouldn't lose even against Berserker. Not necessarily kick his arse.

No, it never happened. It's just Berserker slipped then when Saber ready to strike suddenly Archer preaparing for Caladbolg

He punches, there's a pause where we see Saber's faceplate crack, it shows that she blocked the punch with her forearm (didn't catch that in the cam version, I originally thought the punch was just stopped by sheer mana or some such), she knocks down his arm, uppercuts him and then goes for the beamu.

On a sidenote, one thing I thought was a damn shame was that afterwards, when she goes to Shirou and the others, we see her standing over them in the VN pose and framing, but with her visor on. I wish that when it broke, we would've seen the shot again.

Edit: Another thing that bugged me was that when Berserker initially attacks Salter, she swats him away and he goes flying, but then he lands as if he had no momentum at all. It's rather jarring.

I can't believe how much I dig Alter VS Berserker and the way this whole movie is made, dripping in high quality everywhere, music, animation, voice acting, sfx, the story, the characters... This is the shit and I wish every Fate animated media looked half as good as this movie does.

I'm waiting for a friend to get his fucking PC built so we can watch the movie together, so I've only watched Salter vs Berserker, but man, it is so fucking good. The cam version doesn't do it justice at all.
Can't wait for the third movie.

Watched it.I can't believe how much I dig Alter VS Berserker and the way this whole movie is made, dripping in high quality everywhere, music, animation, voice acting, sfx, the story, the characters... This is the shit and I wish every Fate animated media looked half as good as this movie does.

Not surprising, Alter - a downgraded version of the original, but here she with a infinite source of mana.

Well, the movie did show Alter being weak, it's just that thanks to the infinite supply that Alter went the "lazy" route since she has infinite mana anyways and decided to take the hit to the face and never being fazed by it one bit thanks to mana amplifying her defense.

I just think of that concept as a child being given what he/she wanted in order to brag that thing to their friends. Only that Alter did not brag of that thing, and just uses it to assert dominance.

Well, that too, but remember that even though FSN had stat sheets, it did not do much justice when it came to actual fights.

For instance, nobody expected that a specialist pr even 2 can kill Servants under any circumstances except for that route. He even said that standing up against Servants is ridiculous.
