If you look into some other in-character songs she does, it's not so bad. I think some ones for Negima were alright.
Maybe it was singing in character on top of singing in a different language that did her in there for Die Lorelei.
I'm actually kind of impressed at the diversity some of these VAs have when I research.

The Shadow would be placated and Angra Mainyu's tormented evil soul be put to rest peacefully had Shirou only thought of preparing a delicious meal for it, so it wouldn't have to eat Gil-kun raw. It's just symbolism to represent he is tainting the idea of Emiya Gohan itself by even having the thought of using the knife to kill his loved one. Instead he should be using it to make a delicious dish.
You can even see it as if the knife itself is crying alongside Shirou, that's what the rickety noise really is. The kitchen utensil only stops to make the sound when its real function is restored.
It's a pure kino 10/10 metaphor. It also confirms that Emiya Gohan is the closest timeline to the trunk of the the tree of time. The proper course of human history.
They were, although in Negima usually each actress only has to sing a couple verses as they tend to be choral songs, especially for the secondary characters. Most of the time you are singing at the same time as someone else, so the strongest singers can carry the tune out for the others. If you look into some other in-character songs she does, it's not so bad. I’m liking all the fanart popping up of Archer very carefully putting Illya down after throwing Shirou like a trashbag. Think I’ve seen 3 or 4 of those already.
There is an extra scene about Illya in the HF2 movie no one has talked about so far. I believe this scene is not in the VN
After Sakura was back from the massacre the previous night and rest on her bed, Taiga came to visit her. During their conservation, Sakura was worried she would cause Shirou to betray his ideal to be an "ally of justice". To comfort her, Taiga told her that Kiritsugu, before he died, travelling overseas from time to time to find someone, who seemed to be important to him. Taiga said Shirou was just like Kiritsugu, who wanted to be "an ally of justice", but would also do anything they could to save the persons they loved. Taiga then hugged the tearing Sakura, while Illya was outside the bedroom, who had just overheard the whole conversation and was put to a moment of silence.
We know those were Kiritsugu's attempts to save Illya from her castle, but failed to do so due to the magic boundary and his increasingly weaker body. Illya did not know that and thought Kiritsugu abandoned her, which led to her determination to kill Kiritsugu in the Fifth Grail War. I wonder how this scene will change her and lead to her decisions in the coming events.
The delivery felt cheap when Sakura also already overheard another important conversation earlier in the movie.

I can't imagine how traumatised Taiga will be if the movie goes for the Normal End and Shirou die.
But considering Sudou adding this extra scene, I kind of think the movie will go for the True End. This scene allows Illya to know her father did not abandon her may help her to regain faith on humanity, which will provide a reason for her future sacrifice for Shirou in the ending. This scene may compensate for those removed Illya scenes, which is mostly about the development of relationship between Shirou and Illya.
If this isn't the purpose of adding this scene, then I guess it is just a wrap up for the aftermath between Illya and Kiritsugu since Fate/Zero
Shitaya Noriko will probably just cry and cry if she's told she has to record the Normal End without the True End, so much that the staff will have to capitulate anyway.
