I doubt everything. All the time. I'm a cynic. It's not too bad though, as it usually means I'm more often positively surprised than negatively surprised.

I wish everything could be like KnK, where it's a series of movies all of varying lenghts that are only as long or short as they need to be.

Don't we all. Would be nice to live in a world where that was the norm. But alas...

The original scenes at the start are excellent and most of what happens roughly up to the Rider fight works very well, but the movie itself isn't very well constructed. It feels like watching two separate movies. Changes are important in adaptations, the scenes with Sakura are the biggest plus in the movie for me. Zero's anime had more of an idea of what works when it comes to cohesion of scenes. Despite the fact that Presage Flower is a single movie and Zero is 25 episodes, every episode flows really nicely when binge watching in a way that Presage Flower doesn't despite being a continuous 2 hour experience. VNs and anime are vastly different mediums and changes have to be made. Monologues, unless presented in a visually interesting way, are usually a no-go. I appreciate what UBW and HF's production teams have put forward, I just wish certain parts of UBW could've been ironed out further and I wish HF's medium wasn't such an obstacle. I wish everything could be like KnK, where it's a series of movies all of varying lenghts that are only as long or short as they need to be.

They could also make each movie around 2h30 long instead of 2h like Sudou initially wanted to do which would have made some of the transitions feel smoother.

To be fair, I do understand why they are not going for the Rakkyo or MSG Unicorn format (as much as I would like it to be) since those are LNs with a pretty obvious ending point for each volume, something which each FSN route doesn't have.

It’s worth mentioning that Illya has a naked scene in the VN, a naked scene in ufoUBW, a naked scene in CP, naked scenes in Prisma, and I dunno about DEEN. You could call it tradition.

It's just a darker shade of green than Nero's bright green eyes, is all. I do think they started making Saber's eyes more turquoise at some point though, though I can't say when. Or maybe they're just inconsistent. That tends to happen with a lot of characters from a lot of franchises, after all.

Oh fun little fact, did you know TaA actually did a chapter for one of the Fate UBW anthology books spoofing that scene? It's great, Leysritt is trying so hard to cover her to keep the scene classy, lol

Also to speak about that poster, that was less to advertise the first movie and more to advertise the trilogy in general (It came out shortly after they announced the movies). There are a lot more things going on in that image that happen later in the route than just Saber Alter (Shirou having Archer's arm, blackened Herc, Ilya representing the grail)

Honestly it's still my favorite of the promotional images they've released for this movie. Wish they'd make an actual poster for it, lol.
