You'll need to raise them anyway, but they will also eventually implement content that is actually appropriate for characters of that level. Grinding it out now is little more than an exercise in masochism imo lol.

It's like how in Mobius FF it was basically impossible to level more than one job due to the ridiculous skill seed costs on the last panel, but then today they added a new training area where you can get a 100x skill seed bonus and rake in 30,000+ seeds a run depending on your setup.

In my opinion. Different setups have an easier time dealing with different things afterall...
