Thread: Fate/Grand Order General Discussion (CONTAINS SPOILERS)

I find Sherlock a bit difficult to accept as a Caster. Dude was awful at philosophy and a few other "natural sciences" that you expect magi to be good at. In fact, despite Doyle's personal obsession with seances and the like there's basically no trace of any occult shenanigans in the Sherlock Holmes series.

That's the conventional Caster. Like 90% of the Servants break the molds they're cast into.

It's just there so the narration can go, "See, normal Servants are like X, but this one is so awesome he's different!"
He never sleeps. He never dies.

Battle doesn't need a purpose; the battle is its own purpose. You don't ask why a plague spreads or a field burns. Don't ask why I fight.

Also Sherlock is fictional. I would mark him as having a low possibility of getting in. Fictional servants aren't impossible but when people also know he wasn't real to begin with?

Do people know he wasn't real? All I had to do was type "was sh" in Google and it automatically filled it in as "was sherlock holmes real?"

Nicholas Meyer's The Seven-Per-Cent Solution reveals that his mother was cheating on his father, and so his father killed both his mother and himself. The film adaptation, also written by Meyer, further reveals that Moriarty was his mother's lover; in the novel, Moriarty is the man who brought young Sherlock the news of his parents' death

But those two have pretty obvious NPs. Like Anderson's autobio and Shakespere had the Globe and the First Folio. On the other hand what would Franklin have? Autobiography? Declaration of Independence? Inventions? Kite?
Same with Sherlock, he doesn't really have a symbol of Heroism other than his deductive reasoning and that seems more like a skill than a NP.

Frankenstein is fictional, and that doesn't stop Apocrypha from treating her like just another bona fide Heroic Spirit.

Are they finally bringing conveniently disappeared America into the Nasuverse? I haven't seen so much cultural mishearing since the debut of Strange Fake and hearing there was a 'Vengeful native American' in thar somewhere

Nah. she's not fictional, just a well-kept magus secret that some writer heard about and turned into a story. Or some genius magus wrote the story once info on Frankie leaked so that nobody would believe it.

I assume that's how it works with Frankenmoe so I assume Sherlock could have been a real person as well in the Nasuverse. A savant secret agent of the British Government, with a retired army doctor as his handler and government liason. And then Doyle turned the basic idea of supergenius detective into a story and people loved it. Or some shit. It's easy to write Sherlock into the Nasuverse.
