False. Part 2 prologue started in the exact same real time day, the shutdown of Chaldea for evaluation also happened on the game's freaking website. LB1 was released on my freaking birthday and the chapter literally stated the date of happening 90 days after the prologue, pretty much real time. Then LB2 fucked up the pacing with its release and then LB3. But then things got in line again with the Benienma event where it was in fact New Year 2019. And then shit went off all over the place again. If they did not intend to follow a timeline, might as well scrap all of that bullshit and release things anytime they like instead of doing it half ass like this.

I guess we should see what they say about it next chapter, but I don't think we were supposed to take the timeline placement of the Benienma event that seriously (as with most seasonal events). Even in the Ooku event they were as if LB3 happened a bit earlier and they were taking a while more than expected to go to India (that also felt like a bit of meta commentary on the wait).

The game/qol updates with the mention that main quest is needed for a future event/campaign has been happening every month since September.

I guess we should see what they say about it next chapter, but I don't think we were supposed to take the timeline placement of the Benienma event that seriously (as with most seasonal events). Even in the Ooku event they were as if LB3 happened a bit earlier and they were taking a while more than expected to go to India (that also felt like a bit of meta commentary on the wait).

The event literally was set in a new year AFTER LB3 and AFTER Chaldea got their new base. It cannot be in 2018 or earlier. The event itself even started with Chaldea began to resummon their servants into their new base and Goredorf giving out lucky money to Guda. In fact, the event itself literally set up for events that came after it by giving the fact that singularities are still there, just frozen, and it is now the best time to try and clear as many of them as possible. You're not gonna convince me with that "lul events are jokes" kind of logic, nuh uh, not when the fucking mushroom is the one writing it and intentionally tied it to the main story and set up foundation for later events that can happen in part 2.

I don't know, I took it like that because it's kind of absurd to think that a whole year has passed since LB3 (April LB1->LB2->one month->LB3) timeline wise and no one has mentioned anything about it (the only actual mention being "it's taking a bit more than we expected to prepare to India"). That's why I said we should wait to see what LB4 ends up saying about its timeline placement.

I'm kind of expecting a "don't think about it" answer.

Again, there is no excuse. This is not an excuse. Like I said the release of LB2 fucked with the entire thing. LB3's release and the new year event after that brought things back in line. If the intention was for it to be ambiguous, DO NOT GIVE TIME FRAME for everything that is not LB2. It's even worse that part 2 prologue and LB1 basically gave the same impression that they are going with the same ingame = RL time like part 1, then all of a sudden LB2 dropped the ball and then they tried to go back to the timeline.

Like I said, again, I would have no fucking problem if "lul don't think too much about it gais" was originally the intention. But it was clearly not the case and if that is the case I would like them to drop that timeline shit altogether and never use that gimmick again.

Honestly, I never expected them to faithfuly follow the timeline. I'm surprised they were able to keep this until Part 2 frankly.
