So basically, once you bring somebody that can easily remove its buffs you pretty much cheese the boss fight. Kenshin is probably great here, since it renders its attack buffs useless and it's not hard to make her spam her NP. Will try with another Servant though.

Yeah, they all had the white square around them except for one which was a defensive buff which seemed to have the one time (as opposed to turn count) text beneath it. I assumed that was a damage cut of sorts, probably an actual skill instead of one of the boss fight's end of turn effects
He auto-buffs 2T double Unremovable defense boosting skill before he attacks (and never counts towards his move counter). I'm assuming that it's either a Def Up + Damage Cut mixture or pure double Damage Cut, evidenced by how Merlin can't deal enough damage to go above zero yet my 3-turn-in Quick buffed Angra Mainyu can. On Break, he gains a 6-hit massive unremovable defense boost buff which I'm unsure of if it's % Def Up or just an insane Damage Cut but I'm assuming it's a % Def Up since Merlin + Maou Nobu Atk Up buffs with 200% Power Up CE is enough to deal moderately decent damage to him. He also has a skill that buffs himself a delayed activation effect which... I don't really know what it does because I wasn't paying too much attention. You can also utilize sacrificial taunts to reduce the amount it can heal.
All my attackers died in the Challenge Quest shortly after the last bar break, Katsuie still had 1.3-1.4 million HP, and I was left with double Merlin and my backdrop CE-less Asterios...
If it's all def buffs, wouldn't Sherlock trivialise it? Or does his NP not work on Damage Cuts?
