It's really not hard, you just need to be okay with not getting every servant you want.

Also helps if you have the patience to clear the shop on the day 14 of a 14 day event instead of rushing to finish it on day 3/4.

Unlike quartz, I see no reason why we should not use those apples. Hoarding over 100+ doesn't really make much sense.

The gacha rates are too low. Paying 100$~ for only a 37% chance to get the shiny new toy I want just isn't good enough odds. It's easy to not buy quartz with that in mind.

Plus I've done the paid gacha both times it's come up since I started and gotten screwed both times.

If there's like button here, I'll do it multiple times. Both guaranteed only gave me Nightingale and Medb (though Medb help a bit in Shinjuku), other than guaranteed I'm only poor f2p...
