I've been delaying going back to the cave until after I've cleared wood from the shop. Up until this point I was using a front line of Kintoki/Santa Alter/support Drake, but I think I'll probably ditch Santa for Karna. And maybe Kintoki for Jolly. I think I'm probably well ahead of schedule when it comes to clearing the shop and for once I actually have event CEs.

Edit: I'm not joking. Last year's summer gacha is the most I've spent on the game so far. All I wanted was NP5 Mordred and Martha, ended up NP5-ing both 5*'s and the other 4*'s before them each time. And it wasn't lucky draws for the 5*'s either, it just took a ton of rolls.

Well, this is a really fun event! Let's go over all the nostalgia it brought me and how it currently feels:

Spoiler:

• None of the swimsuit Servants give an extra amount of drops, everything just gives +1, which makes farming really slow. Same for the event CE. This is a rerun, why do we still have so little amount of drops?
• Asking for food requirements in big amounts when the quest that gives the best amount of them is locked really late in the event. Also not having the level 90 nodes available from the start, which makes the farming much slower unless you advance through the story. This is a rerun, give us all the nodes from the very start ffs.
• The shop CE requires 300 of everything except water (why not food?!) and you cannot LB it unless you get one dropped in a node as they only give you 4 of them in the shop. WTF.
• Some of the building requirements are way too expensive, same as some shop items. This would not be that much of a problem if this wasn't a rerun, but a rerun should make it easier to advance through the story or deplete shop like other reruns...
• The Metal node puts a goddamn Archer Gazer in the harder levels that is tough to beat (attacking 3 times for about 2K-2.5K each hit unless it crits), in a node in which if you want the most amount of drops you must use either Riders or Moon Cancer, both having no advantage over it.
• We will have to suffer this in Part 2 again for drops, building and nodes.

The only reason I'm not suffering as much as last year is that in the Metal node I have Quetz which decimates the Gazer easily with her crits and NP, and I've been more lucky to get plenty of CEs with the gatcha so if I go full AP on a node I usually deplete one item each time (and had last year's CE available to further help). But good luck to newcomers who have no shop nor event CEs. Changing the system so now it works around classes only makes it less complicated to know what to use in every part, but I don't see much difference from previous year.

you are not supposed to farm food, you are supposed to farm other materials where food is a secondary drop

they are also giving enough apples to just farm and storm through story and get the best nodes

shop isn't really that expensive
