Jason... huh. I thought that he was a dirtbag ever since reading his legend. And I was like 6 or 7 when I first read it.
BL Character Defining Lines
He has his good qualities though his negative ones makes the former almost forgettable. That doesn't mean he is a politically correct guy to bash.
He basically was, jason takes a background role in his legend with other heroes doing heroic deeds except for some exceptions like when they were stranded in the desert. Even when Jason was doing the trials for the fleece he was only able to do it with Medea's help. An example of how weak Jason was that in the Calydon hunt the only thing he was able to do was just strike a stray dog when everyone else was either trying to kill the boar or kill eachother.
That said, Jason is actually my favorite Greek Heroe because his legend was the first that I actually sat down and read and honestly I find TMs depiction of him, while jerkish to be actually very cool. When I read his part in Salomon I was honestly totally giddy for a long whileuntil roman feels kicked in
