Anyone remember that interview that happened pretty recently where Nasu said he'd be done with FGO when Part 2 ends, which subsequently got twisted to that as FGO was ending with Part 2?

Okay, rereading this, and the impression I'm getting now is that Nasu was more planning to be done with FGO by Part 2 and hadn't written anything yet for a Part 3, just spitballing some ideas or thinking of continuing the story in a different client/program. Was there a bamboo diary where he was clearer that his involvement in FGO after Part 2 is going to be less than in Parts 1 and 2?

Don't think there was any more than that, no.

The entire situation is pretty much in "wait and see" mode in regard to what happens once part 2 ends. I suppose it adds to the whole idea that this could be it/part 2 will end in a way that makes the player do something meaningful.

My guess is that Nasu does cut back on his involvement in anycase since he doesn't have anything planned (yet?) and we end up with EoR-like part or something in the interim.
