i know this is a silly complaint considering the country of origin but man am i tired of japanese events/servants

But there is no new Japanese servant this time and judging by the history of the game all Japanese events are to test new gimmicks. First Guda Guda introduced the progression points, Rashoumon and Onigashima introduced raid, 2nd Guda Guda added faction war points, this one adds the no support thing.

Unless the rewards are great, this event is nothing but bragging to show how much of a whale you are and for the story.

I don't think so. Remember that the raid events i.e Rashoumon and Onigashima were test events to implement the final singularity raid. This is most likely another test for much harder contents down the line.
