The Onigashima grind is pretty ludicrous. Items are just too expensive, with the gold currency being treated as if it's as easy to get as bronze/silver currency. It's fun in a lot of other ways, though.

But now, I'm more concerned about the possibility of vanilla Raikou coming back, for more shots at the NP2+ dream, than necessarily Onigashima.

Last gacha Raikou was in was in last year's Onigashima, right? Would be fine with her showing up in a more isolated gacha for event Servants.

Anyway, what to do about that extra Demiya...

Main issue with Demiya is that the Archer class already has tons of very powerful single target NP Servants, many of which even a free player can expect to NP5 (Euryale, Kuro, Robin Hood). He doesn't bring anything in particular to distinguish from the rest, such as Saber Archer's ridiculous NP generation.

He would be tankier than the rest, with his +50% def up + damage cut
Dunno if it's actually useful, though; as you say there are many other ST archers so I haven't had the chance to use him

This. Why do you think that Sumanai-kun is so worthless? He's got the HP of a tank and the Skillset of a DPS, which results in him being worthless at both.

Demiya's skill is more akin to Protection from Arrows though, and I think everybody agrees PfA is one of the best skills
Sure, this is not on PfA level, but with cooldown 5 you may have it up almost continually
And he still has attack up and card performance up, so it's not like he gives up on offense for defense

The thing with Sieg is that he *only* has the HP, which is not nearly as useful as the defense up, and in exchanges has a very low attack and AoE NP
Demiya's attack is on the lower side of things but it's not nearly as terribly, and a ST NP (plus two attack up skills) should give him an edge

(Again, this is from looking at his numbers, somebody that has actually used him should tell me how useful he actually is)
