I get spooked a lot. For some reason I usually don't mind though. Except with Tamalancer where I had four non rate up SSRs before she deigned to show up.

This is the only time that I wished that Jeanne spooked me in gachas other than this specific gacha.

And this pretty much summed up what I felt about it.

People might say we are ungrateful, but pouring your quartz only to hit the wrong jackpot really breaks your spirit.

It isn't ungrateful, the gacha system is literally a worse version of a slot machine. At least when you win at a slot machine, it doesn't pour out your winnings in Zimbabwean copper coinage or something else completely unusable.

It depends tho. If I rolled in the Musashi gacha I would actually prefer to get spooked by Tamamo than to roll Musashi herself even though I would be aiming for her. However, and, as counter-intuitive as it may sound, I don't feel as if I'd actually roll in a Tamamo rate up gacha since she isn't limited. I am expecting to be spooked, so to speak.

for those of you who can actually read the story, how's the writing itself? good? bad?

Do you like those old samurai flicks and traditional heroic story? If you do, it is for you. If you don't then you might complain on the almost full Japanese cast and the lack of backstabbing

Yeah, I almost feel like she needs the full Waver treatment, with a huge revamp of her skills. At the very least they need to go full Emiya and give her a pair of strenghtening quests for her skills. Maybe embrace her ability to spam Excalibur. Something like:

Mana Burst -> Dragon's Core EX: Buster Up (50%) (3 Turns) and Gain NP per Turn (15%) (3 Turns)
Instinct -> Avalon EX: Gain Stars (20) and Invunerability (2 Hits) and NP Charge (30%)

I wouldn't mind something like this even if it were through SQs only:

Prana Burst -> Invisible Air: 30~50% Buster Up (1T), 10~20% Atk Up (3T)
Excalibur A++ -> EX: 50% NP Damage Up (1T, not affected by OC).

(Yes, I'm aware that Excalibur would be getting a second NP upgrade like this but the devs already seem to account for a possible second NP upgrade with the way it's icons are designed. Plus, it's the Fate poster girl. Can't get more oppressive than the first and maybe only one with a second NP upgrade.)


...Then hopefully Saber Alter also gets some SQ upgrades to make her more potent as well such as:

Charisma -> Tyrant's Rule: 10~20% Attack Up to party (3T), 10~20% Def Down to enemy party (3T), -1000 HP from all other party members [Demerit].

Meanwhile Lancelot generates 15 Stars/turn AND gets +50% crit for 3 turns, in a single skill...

Just bump Revelation's star count and add a Charisma effect or something, and add more debuffs to True Name Discernment.

I'm all for TND having 30% Atk Down for 3 turns and maybe boost the NP Damage Down to 50%. That'll actually make the skill more usable and it allows you to somewhat reduce the damage of oncoming NPs by a lot more than 30% (aka not really that impactful).

Even if they sue Type Moon, I'm pretty sure they have enough money to shut the movie side up. Besides, I think there is a huge difference between homage and plagiarism. If FGO can be sued, then Samurai Spirits should be sued as well.

From what I read from google translate, it is the Author association (a kind of IP watch dog in Japan) watched the CM of FGO new chapter and thought is looks striking similar to Makai Tensho movie and so they would like to paid a visit and have a look. So it seems more like a routine check (not even a warning has been issued yet) rather than a formal lawsuit

I haven't watched Makai Tensho so I cannot judge it, but if FGO really get into trouble, it would be more about the rigged getcha, cultural and religious references, loli, LGBT or the near nudity stuff

The one that can actually come true is that Japan is a paradise for intelligence officers (aka spies).

The historians can sue Hyakka Ryouran too for having male historical figures turn into beautiful ladies (Tokugawa Sen can be an exception since she's actually a lady).

Actually, sue every game, manga, light novel, visual novel and anime portraying males as females.

That's the logical conclusion one can take if they have to sue the franchise.

Nah. Some guy actual reported the CM and the chapter to the association which causes them to act. If TM gets sued, then many of the fictional stuff that pays homage to Makai Tensho is in trouble, like Samurai Spirits for example. I doubt they will care since only FGO is something they can get cash from anyway.
