I think DW can do little if Nasu decides to throw his tantrums because he can't write or because he is busy playing games.

Hoping against hope that the gargantuan amount of time that we've had in-between Lostbelt releases means that the cast of playable Servants debuting upon release is substantial. 5 for Anastasia (4 if we wanna discount Anastasia herself, given that she had a version you fight during the prologue, but I'll be generous), 4 for Gott (if we wanna include Napoleon's pre-campaign, like I'm doing), 6 for SIN (and we're still missing both Not-Rani and Han Xi, who're currently stuck in NPC Hell). Ideally, I'd like something approaching the amount that debuted in E Pluribus or Camelot, 9, but since this is Current Year DW I expect a minuscule number of around 4 as well. SMH

My Fanfics. Read 'em. Or not.McJon01: We all know that the real reason Archer would lose to Rider is because the events of his own Holy Grail War left him with a particular weakness toward "older sister" types.
Right now I'm thinking maybe they're pushing LB4 back so that they can pull another Skadi and have one of the story Servants be on the anniversary gacha.

At this point I totally believe that's on the table.

One of my concerns towards LB4 is that DW had better knock it out of the park--I'm talking Camelot/Babylonia/Shimosa levels, here--because, what?, maybe two story chapters for this year definitely means that LB4 has some higher standards to live up to. Not that I think any of the preveious 3 Lostbelts were bad or mediocre, but having all of this time without something a little more spectacular feels like it'd be a disappointment. Waiting half a year for something that doesn't feel like it's tried to outdo itself would feel hollow.

I feel like having amy expectations for LB 4 at this point is just setting up dissapointment, because it’ll likely never live up to it. Maybe if it were one of the later losbelt so that they can end it with a bang.
"An ideal is only an ideal after all. As long as you embrace that ideal, the friction with reality will continue to increase. So you will someday face reality and will have to pay for your compromises"
While we're on the subject of disappointment I sure good-golly do hope that LB5 turns out to be an actual utopia in comparison to the canon Human Order, just to show off that thing they mentioned ages ago about how a timeline being too successful is eligible for being pruned, because so far the 'Belts have gone from shitty, really shitty, and highly utilitarian dystopia/utopia FROM A CERTAIN POINT OF VIEW more highly advanced civilization than ours in certain respects.
The paradigm shift between 1+2 to 3 is noticeable. Hope that the other LBs will continue the trend. (4 I expect to be some kind of hellhole. 5 is supposed to be what the bad guy wanted to begin with, so I've hope in that one. 6 and 7 are probably gonna likewise be shades of buttfuck desperation, I guess.)

LB4 is probably another Higashide chapter, or a joint Higa/Nasu one if the Moon Cell theories pan out, so yeah, I'd temper that enthusiasm, too.
Hopefully playable Sita debuts there--she'll probably inspire some good art, at least.

Because it's stronger than LV90, that's why.

If anniversaries have taught us anything, do not hold expectations. Any.
Me, as long as LB4 releases the remaining Sakura V, LB4 can be as disappointing as it wants to be.
Honestly though, apart from Servants released, I seriously doubt that LB4 brings anything to justify this ridiculous wait.
LB4 will never meet the expectations of those who have waited for LB4

In terms of the story steadily approaching the latter half of the current arc I expect a natural escalation of events and perhaps the quality with it for those reasons and only those reasons alone.
It's pretty clear they intend on dragging out the progression of the main storyline as long as reasonably excusable. I'm counting it happening with the latter lostbelts and whatever happens after that too since there's no actual benefit or incentive for them to advance to the next stage when they could easily do a bunch of filler events isolated in each of its own peculiar set of circumstances that have minimal impact on what's happening at the moment.
It's same rut any respectable manga or media for that matter gets into when things have progressed well enough that they can just milk the setting comfortably until it decides to finally move on.
